Correct me if I’m wrong, but there’s 2 options for console controller layouts now? One version the headlamp is the same button as toggling Semi/Automatic? I occasionally still play on console for a couple hours a month but mainly PC

Acog has built in range estimation. The horizontal yellow lines of the reticle will give you range when measured against human shoulders. For example, if a horizontal yellow line fits across the width of a zombies shoulders at the 200m line. That is the distance. the line width decreases/increases as does the perceived width of a targets shoulders.

Also you can use the reticle to estimate distance against objects of known size such as doorways on buildings, windows, chairs, mail boxes and signs…anything that you can relate to the size of a human.

The pso scopes also have a built in rangefinder, the straight line with the curved line above it does the same thing but with target height instead of shoulder width.

It’s worth mentioning that all break-actions, bolt actions, the lever-action repeater and the revolver cannot jam. You can use them in any condition, and should repair them last.

Just FYI: in reality the barrel length of a rifle is a strong determinating factor for the muzzle velocity („speed“) of the projectile („bullet“). The other two most important factors are the bullet weight („grain“) and the amount of powder one the cartridge. The combination of these three will determine the kinetic energy and effect on the target („lethality“). But that’s only nice to know. Thank you for your videos. Much appreciated.

Also, I usually use the yellow lines ofcthe ACOG to "fit" enemy shoulders. It usually gets quite a good measure, too.

Might also be a worthy note that unless you have a lot of mags, you might not want to have 2 guns with the same ammo type that will eat away at each others’ ammo

The 3 marks below the centermark on the PSO are for ranges beyond 1000 meters, 1100, 1200, and 1300 meters going down. You set the range and use the center chevron for everything from 1000 meters and down

I love how realistic this game makes weapon mechanics. The Mosin should be the most powerful weapon by far though. That 7.62x54r is like a beer bottle. 😂 And the Blaze and M14 DMR ought to be identical, .308 is .308. I would dare say its got a longer barrel than an M14 too. And one barrel should be a 12ga shotgun. Idk if they make an over/under with both barrels a rifle. But at least they didn't muck it up like Ubisoft would. We don't have revolvers more powerful than .50 BMG. Which is like a deuce deuce bottle. 😂 Hopefully they bring crafting cobbled guns into the game. Not as absurd as Fallout but a slam fire shotgun made from the pipe you can already find would be realistic. Or have your guy running around holding a bullet and a hammer. 😂😂😂😂

the dmr + acog, you had the weapon ranged at 100 meters. If I were to range the weapon at 200 meters, I’m assuming the lines in the sight would be adjusted? So it would go 200, 300, 400, and so on?

10:00 I dont think WOBO has even covered this, you're pretty on point. Private vs community servers do have an effect on this as well, or maybe its 1PP vs 3PP. It *really* breaks down to the weapon for me. King of hip fire = M16 on burst.

@@hazardeur I have 5 digits worth of hours in dayz and wobo's testing has done wonders for maximizing potential. I have a ~2:1 ratio of kills/hours played and im lowballing. This kind of stuff matters to try-hards, like myself. When you go onto community servers and face off against people like Paul (if you are a dayz nut you know who im talking about) you *NEED* all the edge you can get.

@@hazardeur Oh there are a LOT of things like that in dayz, one of its best features. Don't mistake my remarks as disagreement because that is absolutely true, 'you won't know til you try'. The thing of it is there are so many weapons in dayz and each and every one behaves different. Like usg45 vs m4 have completely different bullet dispersion, muzzle climb, ads time, etc. With that in mind now a guy has to go find each of those weapons and test them for himself. I have yet to find a f'ing dmr on official so I have no idea how it behaves. Having some kind of reference is really helpful, not to mention someone taking the time to test, log, and share that info.

I am currently using an M16 and a Mosin and I can never understand what I should drop the m16 for. I don't have a base or anything, I'm just using whatever I find and trying to not get too heavy. Should I change it for a SVAL? What about VSS? I mean, they have full auto, and I'm in need of a CQC gun right, since I already have a Mosin. Should I drop it for an AK-101? Too many options

M16 always hard to drop. It’s good especially hip fire bursts , but it’s too long to push corners in a building. Plus no optic attachments= it’s gotta go. Sks is in a similar middle ground for me. Hard to drop but I’ll usually swap

okay so i got a question sometimes when i swap mags by holding R, it just drops the old empty mag on the ground to be lost in a random bush forever is this a server plugin/mod? is this because of sprinting? is this a bug? i swear this has happened to me at least 20 times recently and i genuinely dont know wut it is and i have a lot of experience in this game, my friends dont have this issue, wuts happenin here i just wanna keep my mags

You do not have adequate inventory space for the mag you're removing from your gun. This often happens with guns that have small mags and big mags.

Eat. Drink. Wait for your blood to come back up. Always want to keep your blood up. The lower your blood and health, the longer it takes to come back out. Also, if your food and water are full, you will get up faster

You are not right about repairing lowering the durability. Repairing always brings it to the top of worn. Repairing does the same thing everytime WOBO discusses this

On PS5 if you have a loaded magazine in your front pockets or pouches (not backpack) you can automatically reload by holding triangle.
