That means Server wipe. And Fastracer thinks about open it up end of next week. But I'm not 100% sure." So basically, it's coming back up eventually. The issue with a bunch of PVE servers is the absolute flooding of useless/trash weapon mods that are never viable to kill even basic zombies. Anyone that has half an idea of what to do tends to camp the meta weapon spawns and up-sales the price on the server market. Also doesn't help that some servers outright give you the most meta things by paying real money for them. I'm all for supporting servers that try to maintain it with quality updates and content, but having to pay an admin $50+ to essentially bypass farming millions of in-game dollars to buy meta gear is pretty fucked

Huh, I don't have much experience so I can't say I experienced any of that stuff. I played on 3 servers total and on all 3 I didn't see any of that, + the people playing were super nice and helpful. Even handed me free goodies. On this last server (the one in the video) the admin even went out of his way to fetch my car for me which I accidentally parked in a river :D

@@DuxAKADuke Yea there's a bunch of servers that try to heavily encourage some form of monetization. Don't get me wrong, most of the servers I've played on have great communities that always try to help each other out. The admins even give out starter packs and events to give a random lucky person an edge in items. But to give an example of what I mean. Say there is a VSSK Rifle that can put down boss enemies (like the Dark Horde boss in your video) in one mag. That VSSK is sold at the merchant npc for 100 million (might be 500 but I haven't played the server in a while) in-game dollars (yes there is an actual server that is selling a gun for that amount) and the only way to get money is by farming high difficulty enemies (some servers have animal pelt selling). And the max amount of money you could farm within a day would be around 5-10 million. Buuuut there is always the option of "donating" that completely bypasses the grind to get the op stuff right off the bat. It's a good thing you haven't come across these kinds of servers because at the beginning you think "Wow, this server is great its got halo armor and some really cool sci-fi guns" but by the end of the week you're thinking "why is all the cool stuff so expensive? Why are most of these sci-fi guns trash? Guess I'll farm some bears to build money... oh wait all the good bear farm spots are taken"

The server shut down for a summer break, here's a message from the owner: Helly dears, not everyone will like it, but the Pripyat server will be sent on a summer break and will come back in autumn/winter. The Downtime of Pripyat will be used on one hand to further expand Arsteinen and make it more interesting and on the other hand to turn Pripyat upside down and test something new. Please keep in mind that each server also costs money and I do this out of pure pleasure and it is a hobby.
