When going to "italy" the military island to the south with the land bridge, i Highly recommend finding a boat, going the long way around and approaching the island from the back, stashing the boat. Loot the island, do the bunker, then use your boat for a quick get-away. running in across the land bridge and running the whole length of the island is incredible tricky, that land bridge is known for snipers and campers, and you have to not only cross heading to the island but have to cross leaving.

I agree, I found a boat the first time I went to that Island and went round the south side. Felt a lot safer :)

You can fill up fuel at all the gas stations now as well. I managed to get a car together and filled a glass bottle. I went to 2 gas stations on the northern side of the main island.

Damn the devs should really consider spawning a full gun mags and ammo for that gun in the same bunker chambers. They seriously made it brutal for a solo bunker run

Yeah I feel I'm not good enough to do this map yet. Been playing for only 2 years, mostly solo, and I tend to avoid human contact at all cost and hide in the woods and survive off the land lol However, I do look forward to jumping into this map one day soon hopefully and hoping my buddies will join. If you want to learn the map I would say to try and find a low pop server (Probably community) until you have the confidence to go onto a higher pop server. I will be doing a video on how to survive early on as it is probably the hardest time to survive.

for what it's worth, the number of people who KOS in sakhal is much lower than those who play cherno - since you have to actually buy the map you've got fewer COD kids in there and more people who actually appreciate the player interactions in DayZ. I figured I'd die so many times learning sakhal but I find it easier in some ways than cherno - I love PVE so the frigid cold doesn't bother me so much. If you're already have all the crafting mechanics memorized and you're good at forrest survival on cherno, I think you'll really like Sakhal.

Great vid! A have some quick questions… Do you need a certain amount of fuel to power the generator? If I put 1 water bottle of fuel in, how long does the generator stay powered? Does the glowplug become ruined overtime? Does its durability decrease each time you flip a door? How long can you mess around with the bunker switches before having to get a new glowplug?

Thank you! If you are a solo I would say you need quite a bit of fuel as you can only flip 1 switch at a time, maybe like 3/4 flasks worth of fuel. In terms of the glow plug I'm not to sure how long it last, however, when I have done the bunker it is fine to do all the rooms. Hope this helps.

You could find the glow plug around the map, buts it more rare and this is almost a guaranteed way of finding the glow plug. It saves you hours or days of searching. I've spent 3 days trying to find a glowplug then I got lucky. So, it's less likely you'll find one for one of two reasons, either players are all doing the same and they found them before me or the spawn rate is so low. I'm going to assume so many are out looking for it that there's none to be found.

For the fuel, can we just bring a Jerry can with us already filled up, does it have to be a certain type of fuel? Only a canister? Just curious

there is only 1 type of fuel which makes it easier. You can take a jerry can over and you can use any type of container that holds liquid. Hope this helps.

If you use Izurvive and check out the Sakhal map you will see the spawn location around the volcano. It's also a very popular area so many people will be after it. Stay around the area and wait for a storm to pass over and once the storm has gone go and check out them locations again 😀 hope this helps.

I believe you need to own the DLC on pc for the editor but not 100% check in the DayZ discord. Also doing a giveaway for some Frostline keys starting at 2PM today :)

This is what I was wondering.....if the keys are only needed to open the briefcase and the briefcase is only needed for the glow plug.....can't we just skip the whole briefcase thing and go to the bunker with a glow plug. I'm pretty sure I found a glow plug randomly on this map the other day and I've come across at least two jugs of gasoline.
