Yes, the rabbit suddenly appears in the trap. I would have liked those rabbits to be seen in the open world. I wish that they add other animals in the open world in the future, animals like butterflies, more insects, fish to be visible in the water, more prey animals like jaguars, rodents, foxes and birds etc.

when i play dayz my first time on patch .49 they did have rabbit running around in the open field and far later i saw a fox too

Because I was quite light, I thought I might drink the water and make suppressors out of them, but you're right, in the end, I carried them for nothing. Sometimes I carry a lot of food and water only to concentrate on other aspects of the game not only searching for food and water all the time.

There are no poisonous mushrooms on the official servers, only rotten mushrooms that are not good to eat
