Just a little tip. If canned food is badly damaged or damaged its fine to eat. Also keep eating and drinking until you are bright green "energized" and bright green "thirst" Once you do that you will start to gain your blood back and get more colour on your screen

5 helpful tips for when you are playing DayZ standalone. Tip 1: Eat until you are fully bright green hydrated and bright green energized that way you will heal when injured! Tip 2: Ware pristine clothing! The better the condition the better it will protect you from damage! Tip 3: Don't carry morphine in your pants! It will get ruined if your legs break! Tip 4:Evenly distribute you ammo throughout your character's clothing that way if you get hit and it ruins an item of clothing you wont lose all your ammo! Tip 5: Run with your gun away because you run faster. Feel free to add your own tips in the reply section.

Devil, if you bind 2 keys for your "Hold breath" bind, it greatly decreases the sway while in scope.

At 42:50 you said something about pistol sway. To fix it you need to make a splint or use morphine. This isn't because of ur leg which in chat keeps on saying its in pain but because when u get hit by zombies they can ruin ur aim and basically fracture ur arm without u knowing. So usually when u get gun sway like that it means u need to use morphine or a splint. Great videos keep up the good work!

Za98ck Well ya when a zombie hit you it can put you in pain, they might not break your arms or leg but you'll see it occasionally saying "My Leg/Arm hurts" which I hope they'll change from just being fixed by splints so the pain meds will have a use. (I'm sure they will)

Hey devil. If your leg is hurting you need to make a splint from a stick and rags and then apply to yourself. Otherwise you will slowly lose blood and eventually die.

The reason everything was gray was because you were low on blood and not healthy (makes the screen blurry too). If you ate peaches and drank water until it gave you bright green "hydrated" and "energized," eventually you would get the "healing" notification. Then your blood would start to regen and your color would come back :)

Use a splint to get rid of that message, also eat and drink enough until you get the messages "Energized", and "Hydrated", in a bright green color. When you get those you start healing and that "blue tint" will go away because you will heal.

Devil if you haven't found out yet, the scope Onnerby gave you toward the start only works with the AKs, the only scopes that work with mosins are PUs and Long Ranges :)

Devil just to let you know, you can eat damaged canned food. When it means by damaged it means the shape/quality of the can not what is on the inside. In my point of view it's kinda worthless to take time and put that into a game but still to be as good a pristine. So you can eat Damaged, Badly Damaged and worn foods. As long as they are NOT rotten and damaged then don't eat it, rotten food slowly kills you. Also the game is dead because people are waiting for the new update which will add a few cools things like making melee weapons react better than they do and they are adding plans and design for a new shotgun but just the model though they are adding the MP133. Anyways I enjoyed the vid! Keep up the great work!

Devil, if you're hungry and thirsty, and you aren't "healthy," that means that if you get shot, you'll die quicker. So, just a tip, you should try to keep your character as healthy as possible. Once your character is energized, hydrated, and healthy, you really don't need to carry around a bunch of food and water (as long as you keep looting).

Devil plays the Standalone like a noobie, but he's great at DayZ Mod. DevilDog, as long as something isnt ruined, it's still attainable and edible. Also press space so your weapon isn't always raised. To pick up an attachment and put it on your weapon(s), put it in your inventory then put it on your gun ( that bipod situation). Dont ever underestimate whether something is badly damage or damage because you can either sew it up, or repair it. Also dont let your character be hungry. He/she should always be energized, quenched, and healthy. It's always good to make your character full so you wont have to worry about we eating later on. Good Luck (:

Sorry if you know this or someone already told you, you have to get your player healthy. It's best to go to rivers ponds and lakes and just spam drink, which after a while will give you a bright green hydrated status in your inventory where hungry or thirsty would be. and don't worry about getting sick from doing so, it isn't implemented in the game yet, water is water. And also eat whenever you can to get an energized status. And as with water, all food unless it's rotten is fine, all cans no matter the condition are fine to eat. These will give you running speed bonuses, the ability to gain back blood and a very large health boost. But be weary of your players stomach capacity. If you eat or drink a bit too much you'll get a stuffed status, which means you're close to reaching stomach capacity. And if you surpass that capacity limit, you'll puke out half of your stomachs capacity. So just eat and drink whenever you have the chance unless you're stuffed or worse. That will keep your health and blood quite high for when you start murdering innocent players xD If you fellow viewers would be so kind as to thumbs up so that lord Devil can see haha Thank you (:

I don't know if you know this already devil but, don't pay no notice to the condition of food in SA, you can eat it all. also, use a splint or morphine to get rid of leg and arm pain (fractures or breaks)

it has already been said but don't bin damaged or worn food, just eat it. Also you seem to not be eating until you are energised and drinking until you are hydrated. Doing so will allow your body to heal if you get injured. It will also stop you needing to carry so much food and water around with you, hording is fine if you have the space but why bother if you need the room for crafting items etc or ammo?

Not sure if you know, but don't treat the standalone like the mod when it comes to eating. In the standalone, always eat and drink until it says energized and hydrated in bright green. There is no reason not to. Always always eat.

Hey DDG. Instead of having the food and drinks in your backpack you should stuff your face full of it :) Make sure to be full on water and food always. Dont save it, eat until you're full. It will regain health for you when your status food/drinks are (brighter)green. It will say healthy when its good.

DayZ Standalone would be great if Chernarus was a map with snow like Namalsk from DayZ: MOD, it would make the game even more erie, Instead of the sun that goes into your eyes every couple of seconds even inside buildings. Devil. I've been playing this game since it came out and during all times of days. There has always been multiple servers filled with 40 people. Did you click the players tab at the top to make sure all the highest population servers show at the top of the list? Also, if you go to the community hub and see how many people are playing Dayz SA on steam, it normally has about 10,000-20,000 players. If you see how many are playing Operation Arrowhead (the mod), it will normally have about 10,000 players.

The only base buildings they will put in is probably is sheds and metal huts. It's not overpoch or epoch. Also, I can get into action on a high pop server within five minutes. Not 80 hours of just jogging for me.

I think the main differences between the Mod and SA are obviously that the latter focuses on more peaceful interaction and more micro-postures and the only reason that would be implemented, would be to make it seem more realistic. Micro-gestures promote peaceful player interaction and probably increases deceitful double-crossing. I love watching your videos and it really is harder to find action in SA more so than the Mod that is king of pvp. I don't think I know of a more dangerous DayZ player. But I would like to see if you can double-cross someone, do a little roleplay and gain their trust, then subdue them and loot them. Leave them cuffed and just walk away lolol. It definitely takes skill to get those kill shots that you guys do, but I wouldn't mind seeing you, Upchuk and Onnerby pulling a quick little shakedown here and there.

Caspro Rotten food was removed in the last patch, but the spawning of fruits and stuff was lowered too
