I realised recently the proper phrasing is “who told you about this job?” If one of their parents did, or even filled out the application, then you know they can’t work independently. Another good one is “what’s the longest amount of time you’ve committed to a project/job” then you can expect the same level of commitment to your job. Some interviews I have had are so generic the interviewer had clearly forgotten to question how they employer was going to get people to complete the work they are asking for.
