This is a must see when in Sarasota. We live in Ocala, Florida and love to go to the Sarasota, St Petersburg area. The Ringling mansion is breath taking as is the circus museum. The garden walk is awesome also. Thanks for sharing

This museum was great. They have so much to see. Really well done. The circus is sort of a dying art...at least here in Calif. Kind of sad. Glad l got to see the circus with the animals when I was young. Fun vlog!

My goodness Jordan. This was by far one of the best videos I've seen. I also loved the circus. I'm really sad that they aren't using the animals anymore as it was a great part of the show. A big thank you and may all your days be Circus days.
@kittylicious7 ай бұрын
They aren’t using animals anymore because it’s cruel and it’s called animal abuse.
@robertwernerog3997 ай бұрын
@@kittylicious That's funny because if you ever went behind the scenes like I did you would have seen how they actually care for the animals.

Really enjoyable vlog. Love these museum visits, they always seem to offer much more than they advertise - for example, the Pullman train displayed an age of craftmanship that, sadly, seems to have disappeared. What a beautiful setting - and what an amazing looking house. Once more, many thanks for sharing all these great places with us.

Love this tour of museum and grounds! I went to college with the man that was dean of clown college for a while . He was in Chicago for a few years and we graduated in the same class. He later went on to run the Big Apple circus, I think that was it. I recognized him on a PBS documentary/ series . We would catch up at special events/ reunions for Goodman School of Drama , now the Theatre School of De Paul . We all lost touch but this vlog reminded me. Thanks! Enjoy your channel very much.

Nice to see this. I was there in the 80s when my grandma lived in Sarasota. I don’t think the circus museum was there yet though. (Actually I believe they were renovating it when I was there so that’s why I didn’t go in it). And they used to not even allow photos in the house.

I moved to Sarasota over 2 years ago and have been here twice. It’s so enlightening on the mechanism of the running the circus, the historical features, train cars and castle is all preserved. For $25 you can spend a whole day exploring and learning. There’s also a circus train a couple miles away that serves brunch affordably, called Bob’s Train, full of circus memorabilia.

Back in the 80’s we had a local tv program called Happy The Hobo in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mark Frey was a clown that was in the circus before he did this tv show.

Awesome vlog. I sure hope Scott and you checked out Howard Bros world's largest minature circus while there. By the way, you saw Bello Nock at the Florida State Fair. He was the guy you talked about playing the guitar as part of the jet pack flyboarding jet ski show. Too bad the Circus Hall of Fame Museum isn't around anymore. Paul Reubens an I spent some time reminiscing about that place a few years back. Gunther was an awesome guy and really loved all of his animals. That is cool you collect circus music LPs.

My second son was born in 1990 and I remember filling out, and sending away for a free ticket to the Barnum & Bailey Circus, celebrating their 100 year anniversary (if I remember correctly.) It was for a one time use, but it was good for anytime in his lifetime. It never arrived, Im not too sure, but I think we moved away before it came. Then the circus has been shut down for sometime now. Ive often wonderd who ended up with that ticket!?! Great video, Jordan, I enjoyed it very much! I hope you didnt mind my little story. 👍👍

Animals have been eliminated from circuses. Now clowns. (Thanks a mil, J.W. Gacy. 🙄) Improve a situation, lose a lot as a result. Goes to show that there is often no ideal solution, and that all we can do as a species is strive for and hope for the best possible outcome. Many times resolving to just "make the best of it."
