Your video is awesome. I can give a unique perspective to the area. My first time across New Mexico and Arizona was 1969. Back then many mom and pop diners were open and almost no commercial fast food chains. Roadhouses and hand painted billboards littered the roadsides. Old Route 66 was accessible in some areas near the interstate as side roads. It was not unusual to see a truck and a blanket set out with native Americans displaying handmade turqouise and silver jewelry on the side of the road... I distinctly remember at one old gas station that had a milk crate full of turqouise pieces for sale $2.00 apiece! I've been through many times over the years and saw the transformation into commercialism. But the natural beauty remains and the sunsets over the desert still takes your breath away..THANK YOU for this video.

Fort Courage is where they filmed F Troop. At least that's what my Dad told me in the 80's as we were cruising in the 65 Buick Special Station wagon. Good Times! THanks for sharing JOrdan!

Jordan, enjoyed the post, the Navajo Indian Reservation is located near Gallop, New Mexico. I have visited it. That is a bessutiful part of the USA. Enjoyed the Easy Rider connection, even though I have never seen the movie, maybe I should watch it. Again, thank you, I do not leave our home very much now. I can see things thru you Jordan! Until next time...Nancy

Fort Courage was set up/built to take advantage of the popularity of the television show F-Troop. The fort in F-Troop was called Fort Courage. KZbin has quite a few videos covering that particular tourist attraction.

Did you ever see the movie... Little Big Man? Those words you just mentioned are in the movie... something like... "the treaty will last as long as the grass grows, the wind blows, and the sky is blue". If you've never seen it, you gotta watch it. Dustin Hoffman, Faye Dunaway, Chief Dan George... and others.. are in it.
