i was literally having this same exact issue the other day, i couldnt hear out of my right headphone but only with the usb dongle. If i plugged it in directly to to pc headphone jack it worked fine. I took the usb thing apart, tried solder a different jack on it and everything and after changing it all back to the original parts it worked again? lol idk what happened.
