That faux vase would actually make for a really pretty decorative lantern! Glue some smaller mirrors to the inside (the walls and base) before the finally assembly step, then put a remote controlled battery-powered light at the bottom... or a battery-powered candle (the kind that has the flickering effect)... and then put it below the wall piece so that they reflect the light!

I'm doing the project with the popsicle sticks. However, I think I'm going to use the blue Dollar Tree rhinestones. With sapphire bead trim around the mirrors. Thank you for the idea. You are wonderful.

Both of these projects look stunningly beautiful! You definitely have the Midas touch Sis!🪄✨ But I would suggest that the popsicle sticks and round inserts be painted black or covered. This would help to give it a more finished look even inside of the box. Some professional mirror installers have suggested to use only mirror glue on the back of the mirrors. They say that most other types of glue will eventually create dull or dark spots in the mirror and make them look antique. I love your designs, and your creativity. I’m a new subscriber!🤗

Beautiful and high end. I was skeptical at first on how the canning lids would look but was amazed and pleasantly surprised. I am a canner and the used lids are always thrown out, which goes against my grain. So I washed them good and painted them white and made snowman for Christmas ornaments. They turned out so cute.

Thanks for showing people how if we just get creative we can reuse things in ways we'd never imagine. Your talent for thinking outside of the box is awesome! (and needed! Less in garbage more reuse, recycle into other things. If someone didn't want them gold or not quite as beautiful anymore you could paint tops b4 rhinestones, maybe something complementary to your room colors?)

@@janetmartina6276 I think they are perfect for kids little hands, especially the wide mouth lids. They can get so creative and make, for example, caterpillars out if the small mouth lids. They will need Moms help with the glue gun though.

I love both projects. Another idea instead of the rhinestones would be to get crushed minerals or small stones like garnet or opals. I love rhinestones, but my house is going more rural (live on a ranch) than glam!

Very elegant and classy. Any interior decorator would have charged a fortune. This also - your table decor- can be used as a wedding centerpiece (or any occasion really) for the tables and just add flowers.
