Yeah, they're internationally recognised. Even in Japan they had them appear in commercials for two different company's, and there's also a statue of them in the Studio Ghibli museum in Tokyo. As for America, Pixar made a giant statue of Gromit in Buzz Lightyear's space suit in honour of them. Animators around the world certainly appreciate them, likely as stop motion is difficult and time consuming, so they appreciate the effort that's gone into it.

I think the fluffy white thing on his lap is actually a seal pup, since he is in a zoo and all. I effing love Wallace and Gromit! I hardly remember watching it before the were rabbit movie but I love the art style and British humor has always been so funny to me. I'm super excited for this movie, just don't know how I will be able to watch it in its original language. I live in Spain and most theaters play Spanish or Catalan. Maybe they will have subs, but then I'd have to fight my Spanish husband on watching English.

I am drinking happily from my Gromit Mug knowing Wallace and Gromit are back- mostly Gromit- in retrospect- in the seocnd film Wallace straight up bankrupted himself being criminally negligent of his dog, became a landlord and basically failed to be aware of a criminal mastermind up to becoming an accomplice to grand theft while asleep: impressive but Gromit is honestly traumatized by the third film I do love the scene where Gromit threatens the penguin with a rolling pin and they just pull out a revolver in response though lol
