DB-90 Losing Memory Settings - Solution

You can use BOSS PSA power supply and a battery. The battery will function as a memory battery when the main power from a power supply gets cut off.

What is the point of the diode? Are you using it to step the voltage down for the led? Can you use like a 1k resistor to do that? I am sure I am missing something. Thanks!

I'm not at all an electrician... I didn't want the external battery to try and charge the battery hooked up inside the met. I'm not sure if it makes any difference though. Would that matter?

It sucks because You never know when battery is low. It reboots and voila. Now You know. No memory. I don't know who programmed this metronome but I think this was some idiot. Programming of my practice memory banks take about one hour. It's very hard to put some EPROM or internal battery like CR2025 eh :/

you can tell. the black on the display gets a bit lighter and more gray. when you see that you know it's low. but yes, i wish there was a battery meter of some sort

Either that or a sd card something that could save the presets…
