This is actually what I would have liked to see more of in Dragonball Z. The ability of an "inferior" power being able to take on a superior foe thanks to advanced fighting capabilities and tactics, such as the normal Vegeta to each of the other Super Saiyans. DBZ was too one-dimensional. Too often, it came down to who's the strongest. The formula was so simple that creativity and surprise were often absent.

Don't you remember the battle between Trunks and Cell? Trunks was able to outclass Cells power but he still wasn't able to beat him due to his "ultra super saiyan" form hindering his speed because it made his body too muscular and heavy. That's an example I can think of where it wasn't just down to who was the strongest.

i can understand if he was able too be trunks, but not so much goku, well maybe gohan as well. But goku has also like vegeta been fighting since he was young and mastered a martial art and even added new moves too make up for his continuously growing power and speed. gohan at that age had not mastered fighting, just had power, and trunks had little training learned how too really fight from vegeta. goku and vegeta's fights were mainly fight in contest of skill.

Okay? One example doesn't refute what I said at all. There were a few examples in which a fighter could circumvent the other's strength, but that hardly equates to a majority. The very fight before that, Vegeta vs Cell, was reflective of DBZ's usual simplistic formula for fights. One beats the other unless and until the other gets stronger; rinse and repeat. Dragonball, by contrast, was much more diverse.

yo dude you need to learn the air combo, its really fast but it can be tricky. You attack with the rush {xxx} then hit left analog up and Y or Triangle. then click A and hit x rapidly then it smashes him to the ground. then you click x to teleport to him then hit him into the sky and cast the fastest super attack you have got. by then you've done bout as much damage as an ultimate attack lol

Technically: We all know that Goku was 1st to achieve super saiyan but.... In the future Gohan was the second, then Trunks which makes him 3rd In the normal timeline Vegeta achievd Super Saiyan after he saw Trunks destroy frieza ...so he went for some training... Then after vegeta was Teen Gohan & lastly in the majin saga next was either kid Trunks or Goten...(they dont really tell u which one came first)

No, Kaioken Goku was beating base Vegeta. Then, Goku had almost no energy left and defeated Vegeta with a spirit bomb. Goku couldn't even use Kaioken after Vegeta started beating him, he was completely drained.
