Between pop culture and context clues, I somehow understood about 65% of Ricter's thing. I think I've also watched and rewatched all of Qerpline way too damn much

It's so nice hearing the Bophades joke after the wedding DND campaign.

My favorite detail in this is playing 'Nobody Speak' instrumental in the background when Derek is in the 'escape room' which I assume is Canadian Parliament. :-D
I had my first ever spit take by Kathleen/Graham and I'm thankful for it

Un Chien Andalou was the deepest possible cut and I laughed so hard my roommate thought I needed an ambulance.
@CleverCrumbish6 жыл бұрын
Weirdly, it's less of a deep cut for LRRfolk specifically because Graham did a thing about Un Chien Andalou when it turned up in a Watch and Play game, flexin that filmmaker's education. I think it's been referenced in a LRL as well. LRR sure love referencin' that eyegore

CleverCrumbish Which W+P was that? I thought i had an encyclopedic knowledge of but I love learning about things I missed.

@@bethlucystabhatesterfs4786 Apologies, I thought it was a Watch and Play because the game was... so bad... but it's actually from Let's NOPE: Steam Pileup with Heather and Graham. The game "The Piano" references Un Chien Andalou and Graham goes off at it ?v=Epm9lIhsY0U

The whole time that Derek was in the 'Ukrainian Parliament' I couldn't stop saying to myself "That's the UK parliament" and wondering if they just chose the first image of a parliament they could find... Aside from that this was bussing excellent!
@Gulyus6 жыл бұрын
That...might be part of the joke. Derek probably thought UK meant Ukraine since...well it starts with UK.
@jayradcliffe3376 жыл бұрын
@@Gulyus Oh yeah I got that (after about 3 minutes), but it still bugged me, y'know?
@DemoniacDeath4 жыл бұрын
as a Ukrainian myself I apreciate the amount of preparation they put into this joke (the mace (which is called "Bulawa"), the national anthem), even though the image looks nothing like the parliament (which is called "Verkhovna Rada"). I wonder if they did some research on the topic or if someone (Alex?) already had some knowledge in that area...
