Quartz - Back in the Band

Cool rare NWOBHM tune. Unreleased back in the day I believe; it's only seen the light on the recent anthology of Quartz rarities.
Apparently the song's about Ozzy rejoining Sabbath in '76 - the two bands were quite closely linked, with Tony Iommi doing some production work for Quartz now and then, and Ozzy even did some backing vocals for them at one point in the late 70s.

killer track from magic underrated powerful nwobhm band quartz. pure heavy metal. #nwobhmforever and tony iommi did produce this band and we all know what a magic guitar player he is for black sabbath.

Hi I know I might be a bit late with this information, but Back In The Band was actually released by EMI records in 1980 on a various artists 12" single featuring Quartz and three other artists and it's called Muthas Pride 12EMI 5074. I bought this 12" single recently. It's a collector's Item, but it's quite unconfortable to play it on my turntable. I have got an automatic belt drive turntable. As this 12" has to be played at 45 rpm my turntable 'thinks' it's a 7" and puts the needle to the wrong position.

Hi Sorry to hear your turntable will not regconize it as 12" single that plays at 45RPM! The track is now on the CD Satan's Serenade The Quartz Anthology CMEDD928 Sanctuary Records released in 2004 and there is many more gems on this CD to make it worth while buying!
