Tonight with Richard and Judy: OJ Simpson interview

'Tonight with Richard and Judy' was a prime time chat show hosted by Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, an attempt to move the duo on from daytime television. For the launch show, the first interviewee was actor and former American footballer O.J. Simpson, seven months after he was found not guilty of two counts of murder.
The invitation to Simpson was controversial, and in the circumstances the interview had to be somewhat confrontational. Unfortunately Richard Madeley makes a verbal flub at 15:19 and renames victim Ron Goldman as 'Ron Brown' (the US Commerce Secretary Ronald Brown had been killed in an air accident a month before).
Only one series of 'Tonight with Richard and Judy' was commissioned. TX 13.5.96

This guy OJ writes a crazy farewell note, which probably WAS NOT a suicide note, he heads south to Mexico before LAPD spots him and then force him back to his house. He beats Nicole REPEATEDLY; she saved the damn pictures in a safe deposit box in a bank, with the intent that they be submitted to the police as evidence in case he MURDERED HER!!! She told the police AND several of her friends/family that see thought OJ was capable of murdering her. After the murders, OJ's, Nicoles, and Goldman's blood were found on OJ's possessions/Bronco and his clothes. If it weren't for the race riots in LA in '92, OJ for damn sure would have been convicted. It's just so fucking obvious he murdered those two people!

It didn't happen as presented by the courts. The evidence was heavily tampered with and that made everything put forward, null and void.. I'm not convinced of OJs innocence, but I am less convinced of his guilt as presented by the courts. To convict someone, you have to do it on the facts presented. In this case OJ isn't guilty.
@TDKiller415

The biggest indication that OJ killed Nicole, apart from the physical evidence, is that he always smiles and laughs while talking about Nicole, he never sheds a tear for the mother of his children. Its obvious that he only cried on those tapes because he'd been arrested and he was convinced he was going to be executed for the murders. Now that he's free, he's all happy go lucky. See the difference between his reaction and AC Cowlings to the photo of Nicole's corpse at the civil trial. OJ was indifferent but AC broke down crying.

I think we can all agree that according to what African Americans say about Nicole and Ron, if he had done exactly the same to Marguerite and Marcus, he'd have gone straight to prison, and Marguerite and Marcus' families would be getting as much support as possible. @@benedictearlson9044 Yes. I have to say, this case has really kept me coming back to it...we will never find out the full story, I understand many are divided by the truth but it was just a bit suss that no other suspects were questioned. I never knew who OJ was because Im not American n don't follow American football, when the trial actually happened I saw the bronco chase n immediately believed he was guilty but in the past two years, I read a little of the details n although his past actions n a few facts of the night, I personally believe there's 2 others involved n did the act but OJ is guilty of knowing n probably witnessing the murders, I totally believe a huge cover up n it's not right to let others get away with the murders blaming one person when there's suspicion of others involved, those who say " there's no suspicion " are wrong n just looking at it because of his domestic violence record not questioning why the police did absolutely NOTHING for years....were they paid off ? If so why wouldn't they be paid off to blame one person only when there's Jason's record PLUS Marvin Glass in the family plus Denise's drug Lord boyfriend and amongst all this .. Fred Goldman to be a police informant going on n on about money, him being the 2nd husband of a Columbian drug lords ex wife ...WOW.. If OJ had admitted his son did it, they probably would have pleaded mental illness n let him go with treatment but seeing that didn't happen it shows there's more to it of OJ being involved...why would he lawyer his son up immediately 🤔 n drug people were definitely a part of it because it was stated others were murdered not long before Ron n Nicole's murder because of drugs including Ron's flatmate n there was money owing by both Ron n Nicole, I believe Robert Kardashian knew what happened n didn't say anything yet he turned on his friend when he didn't get paid ordered by Kris Jenner 😒 This story will never go away whether OJ is guilty on his own or not.

But I think they are more motivated and "have their minds made up" because of the literally overwhelming evidence that he is a murderer. 15:16 is the most telling part of this interview. Maybe he avoided describing the character of the killer (who was clearly deranged) because he would have had to acknowledge his darkness, 'true' nature. This so called 'other' violently murdered, the mother of his child, with his children upstairs, yet he does not condemn them??? Instead he avoids answering an important question and deflects to a different subject, the person looking for the killer. He tried to use his reflex laughter and smiles as a means to deflect from the seriousness of the issue and get around the interviewers (a tactic he's mastered and often referenced by witnesses and friends). Yet this is highly inappropriate given the circumstances and instead highlights his coldness and lack of empathy, immature sense of awareness (due to him to being used to being unchallenged), and an inflated sense that he can dupe and talk his way out of anything (since he always did).

Vincent Bugliosi puts to bed this fantasy of OJs innocence in his book and his mock summation. OJ is a double murderer. His dream team only looked good because the prosecution were beyond useless. Bugliosi or Petrocelli would have torn all 5 of them a new arsehole had they prosecuted Simpson.
