Configuring Database Mail for the first time! Database Mail Log showed multiful failures. Once I got it right, Google did not like 'insecure app' accessing my account. I just opened Outlook account, and it worked. Not bad for the first timer. Thanks Brent!

Hello, very good explanation, but when I do the test I get this error. Database Engine Instance=SERVER;Mail PID=15044;Error Message:The update to the database failed. Reason: The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'sysmail_logmailevent_sp', database 'msdb', schema 'dbo'. If you PLEASE can suggest me some solution

When using gmail, enable less secure apps in your gmail account.
