I think having the audacity to blame the format is insane considering the Dodgers never once had a lead in 3 games. Lance Lynn gave up 4 Homer's in the 3rd inning and cut their starting pitching ERA in half 😂 😂

I've been watching the Dbacks this year, it's a young, developing team. They've got hitting and running power. Their pitching and bullpen have improved massively since July. I'm looking forward to what they'll do next season. But, for now, I'm enjoying this post-season high.

Dodgers lost each of their games in a single inning. Pitching was terrible, but so was their offense. The Oakland A's would've looked better out there. No one should say the Dbacks got lucky with on field results - they are a very talented young team. But as a neutral fan, they got insanely lucky in circumstance. The problem with the playoff structure is 2 fold. One, there is too long in between series and the bye teams have too long of a layoff. But more importantly, too many teams make the playoffs period. Because the WC is just a series and because so many teams make it now with a real shot, no one pushes the division leaders the way you used to have to in order to make the playoffs. So Braves, Dodgers and Os haven't played hard fought baseball with someone on their trail for months. Houston barely made the playoffs and were fighting to the final day so the break didn't affect them as much. But Braves and Dodgers had their divisions rapped up in mid August. That is just not a good model. We need to go back to 10 or even 8 teams. I think my preference is 10 teams with the one game WC and then expand the DS to 7 games. That gives the MLB the larger television deals they want while ensuring that WC is not something people are willing to just settle for because it is one game win or go home. Teams need to have real incentives to actually fight for winning their division to get into the real playoff series, not just settle for the WC series and make the regular season in general pointless.

I absolutely LOVE the upsets we’ve had in the last 2 years of Divison series. Braves Dodgers NLCS every year could have been the next Cavs vs Warriors in terms of the same teams meeting in the playoffs every season. They’re just the best two regular season teams in the NL, but not the playoffs apparently. (Outside of 2021 when the Braves were not the favorites) Phillies have that dog in them in the postseason, especially at home. Wildest playoff home crowd I’ve ever seen. I will be beyond happy with any World Series winner besides Houston. Just want a new face in there. Also, Dodgers last 4 postseasons (outside of the Mickey season): 2019: lost to Nationals (13 fewer wins) 2021: lost to Braves (18 fewer wins) 2022: lost to Padres (22 fewer wins) 2023: lost to DBacks (16 fewer wins) We’ve never seen a team choke like this in the playoffs in baseball history and boy am I here for it🤣 their fans deserved their annual humbling by a vastly inferior team.

Bottom Line: MLB RUINED POST SEASON BASEBALL with the wild card games and the Long Time Off for Division Winners! FACT. It's obvious with Both the Dodgers and Braves losing last years post season after 20 game and 14 game slaughters of their division second place finishers. Then, this year Braves and Dodgers, and add Orioles, slaughter 2nd place teams in each of their divisions - Heck, the East was over by the All Star Break for the Braves! Yet Division Winners are Penalized with a 6 day layoff between end of season and first game of Playoffs for Division Winners! When teams play a marathon 162 game schedule over 6+ months and win by 14 games over 2nd place, it needs to means something! 🏆👍 As we have it, teams in the wild card series have a HUGE ADVANTAGE because they stay sharp seeing the intensity of opposing teams high velocity and MLB quality breaking pitches as an immediate extension of the regular season. They stay sharp and have that momentum from continued play, where the Division Winners have to sit for 6 days before another game, losing ALL OF THEIR MOMENTUM and GROOVE TO. MLB MUST FIX this ridiculous schedule! The schedule is not fair for the Division Winners. No Team that plays nearly every day for 6+ months wants to sit for 6 days between real games! There is no REAL REASON FOR A Regular Season! They might as well just play the 60 games of the pandemic season! MLB has put NO VALUE into Winning The Division. THE VALUE IS NOT WINNING! NOT SITTING FOR 6 DAYS!!! It's happened for two years straight! Braves win Division By 14 games EACH YEAR! Dodgers win by 20 games last year! Orioles lead for months. All had NO OFFENSE AFTER SITTING FOR 6 DAYS. The Braves tied the team Home Run Record of 2019 when the baseballs were juiced, and they weren't juiced this year! They are the only team in MLB history to slug over .500 ! That's nearly 150 years!They led pretty much all categories. Many are wondering if the Braves have the best offense ever, with maybe the nearly 100 year old 1927 Yankees as the only debate! Yet, no offense after 6 days of losing all momentum. Las Vegas must be PISSED OFF. ALL of their odds for winning the World Series are Shot! And all so TV stations can show more games and make more money!💰💰💰 MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL IS A BAD & SAD JOKE! 🤷😩
