@@FEARtheSERVER Of course, bro. $47.99 I had to email customer support to request it because that particular knife did not have the option available on the website. I don’t know why. They did it, no problem.

*The knife looks solid; it can cut a medium-sized car into slices. What is that funny metal cap on the back of the blade for?*
@drunkdadhomealone7972 ай бұрын
@@user-ww4od4jl1f This thing is evil, in a good way lol. That trim piece is a characteristic of a Musso Bowie. With lesser quality versions, they’ve been known to fall off with any type of hard use. This knife though was hand crafted by KHHI in Nepal. That piece is welded to the spine, so I can hit, chop, split wood, even baton with it. That isn’t going anywhere. Thanks for the comment!

@@drunkdadhomealone797 *I would prefer the decorative elements to be CNC machined from the same piece of metal. Did you buy a special truck to transport this toy? I wonder if the steel for the KHHI knife was made in India or China... And finally, how much did this toy cost including shipping and customs?*

Yeah, not very pretty. Plus, no one knows that Jim Bowie carried. What ever he had at the Alamo vanished into history.
@drunkdadhomealone7972 ай бұрын
@@longrider42 True. I think “not pretty” is the point with this knife. It’s a user and abuser. I heard that this was modeled after what Jim Bowie was believed to have commonly carried, but that he gifted it to a friend long before the Alamo, and it was recovered off that friend when he also died. That’s what you will see in the museum. The knife Jim Bowie used in his infamous Sandbar Fight was believed to be similar to this. Who knows.
@dougboal76202 ай бұрын
@@drunkdadhomealone797 Yes so many theories on his different knives he owned, one person's opinion is as good as another. I personally believe that the Sandbar knife, was actually probably a family butcher knife, as it was described. He would have easy access to it, not have to spend money which his family probably didn't have, and experience in its daily use. That knife would be of utilitarian use first, and if need be, self defense.

Looks cheap. Worse: it looks like a knock off of cheap. At least the Szco version has brass fittings.
@drunkdadhomealone7972 ай бұрын
Brass fittings that fall off the first time it gets used hard. Stick tang. Stainless steel. No thank you. This knife is full tang. 5160 steel. Spine trim welded on. Thicker blade.

I have six Khukuri's, a Germanic Seax knife and a Gustav Sword, all from Nepal, and top notch quality work.
@dougboal76202 ай бұрын
I have seen the Szco Bowie, and the fact that it is made of stainless steel, is the biggest turn off. Stainless doesn't take a sharpening like carbon steel, and if you want to apply a faux patino, forget it. That knife look likes it is a good used.
