1st battle was meh, glad Joey said it. It was lacking conviction and penwork altogether. Dan and Ren was the exact opposite; Dan had bare conviction and Ren had the maddest penwork. For that reason, I think Ren should have won. He can add vim to his bars, but adding mad wordplay might not be as simple if you don't have the talent for it. I hope Ashley Tragic gets his reparations in the next ep though still.

That Ren and Dan battle was the best one this season, both came through solid. That match up should have been final worthy. Ren just about takes it for me with the effortless flow and how he chose the beats well to go with the lyrics/ certain punchlines

As you've no doubt noticed the show is drill themed and every contestant has the opportunity to approach the battle in which way they seem fit. In this particular battle Ren came with witty bars disrespecting mums and that, my angle was more that I didn't rate his lyrical ability and im a better spitter than him. You're fair to say you felt as if he should have won that because that's your opinion but on the day, the judges voted in my favour. Had it'd have been a different set of judges it could have gone the other way but read the room, if you was there you'd have seen that I out performed him in that particular bout and although the mic seemed to pic up what he was saying, on the day you couldn't take him in with the same level of clarity.
