Some great ideas with the weedless we have a lot of lilly pads on the lakes we fish so i tend to fish a lot of weedless lures or frogs over the top of them cheers dan

Those soft plastic minnow baits texas rigged are also really good for fishing slop (heavy matted weeds) with weighted and unweighted hooks. If the weed can't get through the weed, just use weighted hooks. The bass spinnerbaits (safety pin design) with the colorado blades work well through heavy weeds. I have never tried it yet but those bass skirted swim jigs with a soft plastic minnow baits with a paddle tail as a trailer, would work well also.

Or buy the savage gear twin spike single hook. Two on a stinger same as treble hooks. Add the hooks on the softbaits back, a 3 gram daiwa screw in weight system in the belly. Them offset hooks isnt great hook up on i think, you miss alot of takes on them. Will mix about with them offsets tho to see if i can figire out a way to use em more efficiant. Great video pal

When i fished weedless baits with offset hooks for the first time a few weeks ago and caught some pikes on them i experienced, that the hooks made lot more damage to the pikes mouth than trebble hooks. Like it was seen on your second pike. Maybe it is because i set the hooks stronger, because of the mindset „i have to set an offset hook stronger than a trebble hook, which often catches a pike without any additional effort“. Or maybe it is because of this giant wide gap of the hook and related physics... What do you think?

Any fox rage lures Savage gear reel eels are good aswell as most savage gear stuff Rapala lures Westin lures Anything flashy or wobbly will usually get you a few fish on the bank id advise you watch a few videos on how to unhook and land them and properly handle them without getting ya finger bit off cuz it can be scary on your first few fish

Not wanting to get into the single/treble hook argument, I have caught small pike with single hooks spinner baits and such and yes the hook does rip the top of the fishes mouth, however I feel a bigger fish has a harder mouth that doesn't tear, after all that pike was a guppy.

We fishing a weedy spot today. And a big moma hit my goby 20cm with off set hook, almost ripped its yead off. Biemarks from tip of tail to its head. Was a good size pike. Missed it tho, hook didnt set 😐

These 9/0,10/0, 12/0 are fuking expensive. It's just metal bro, wtf. You get more metal per gram on the small ones that cost even less. You would think the less of them you need to make the cheaper cuz the cost of production would be lower, of course at the same amount of metal. £12 for 2 hooks!!!!🤯
