janemba is able to get good use off the b assist change because of j.214x and considering the fact that he was already arguably fat buus best teammate thats a pretty big deal imo. I could definitely see something like buu b janemba a krillin a being one of his best teams this patch

There are some ways to exploit the reestand even without assists, they all have weaknesses, but it can work against unprepared enemies: Characters with grab auto combos can hit the second hit during the restand and mix between 2M and complete the auto combo for a pretty good 50/50 You can iad and go for two overheads, or an overhead into a low. To catch opponents trying to mash after the reset, go for 4L -> 4L You can also go for 4L -> DR definitively not as strong as using both assists for true 50/50, but it can for sure catch the opponent off guard

An effective way that I've found to use the Buu B assist restand is to IAD in and hit them out of the fat throw with jM, and then either gatling into a jL overhead or land into 2L. This won't work if you use the assist early in a combo because the jL will true combo from the jM instead of resetting, but if you use it as an ender after a full combo you'll have enough hitstun decay for this not to happen.

@@hakke1664 that’s likely fuzzy blockable but probably effective in a real match. I imagine against taller characters where you can threaten two jump normals there’s a greater mix up chance as well

You can also try to time the assist to hit a meaty jm after j.H knockdown. But its really tight

you can get pretty good restands with 18. just float into light 17 call which restands and than you got a high low mix with no landing recovery.

Since the B assist behaves the same as the move, wouldn’t the auto combo grab reset work?. For example using baby, you could add enough hitstun, hit them with the second hit of auto combo and grab them with the end.

Probably, but it'd more than likely require the same stipulations (a shorter combo to lead into the assist so that your HSD isn't too scaled)

So what I’m hearing is that because of Fat throw assist my stocks in Yamcha and kefla went up with this guy. I always stole games with Buu if my main team wasn’t cooking. I use 5m very sparingly that most people don’t expect it especially if you can get them to respect you. When you need that to hit in the moment oh boy does it feel good.

Also i believe fat buu benefits the most out of the level 1 reversal supers but i dont remember seeing if they buffed that aspect of him

@@coffefighterz9641 It’s been a reversal for some patches now. Every character with that change has it listed on their notes, but Majin Buu’s supers have no changes in this patch.

Vegito Ex grab -> 6S 3S -> majin buu b (upward throw) -> vegito 5L lets the opponent block the last hits of 5L but vegito can still jump confirm in💀💀💀💀😂😂
