You can do a rejump by doing 5H into EX Flip (Just hold 6 as the direction, it will position itself for you) into j.M, touch the ground, and go into j.L, j.L again, j.S, EX Flip (Hold 6 again) j.L, j.L again, j.S again and EX Shining Slash for the knockdown. It should take you from Midscreen to Corner if you do it right

When I'm midscreen with Trunks I like doing his ex filp route. 5LL, 5MM, 5H into ex filp, delayed j.M, 5M.

huh? During the midscreen 2H starter combo you can just do jS 214H jLLL instead of the sideswitch Flip. That way you stay same side, get more damage and it's more consistent.

2H starter into 2H sideswitch flip is 4776 dmg, same starter into jS LLL is 4686 (limit break damage). Both are valid, it just depends if you want a sideswitch or not. Basically both combos do the exact same amount of hits, but j2H deals more damage than a jS.

I usually go for another rejump midscreen because i suck doing microdash, the route is 5h delay SD delay 66 jL jM (after this you dont need the microdash) 29 jL. I recommend doing the superjump because they are higher after the jM, the link is 4 frames more than the universal rejump iirc

if you reply to a comment on this 3 year old video you're a legend. anyway i have a burning question - i was going to mention the trunks medium autocombo wallbounce thing in an upcoming video, however with a lot of testing on multiple patches (including season 1 patches) i swear ON MY LIFE that trunks doesn't actually get better 2M confirms by using the M autocombo wallbounce. i seemed to be always able to confirm off change the future's normal wallbounce, even at max range. i just figured i'd ask you if you might know what the deal is with that cause i didn't want put something in a video that's incorrect, and i first heard about utilizing the autocombo wallbounce from this video. thanks

Is there a particular reason why Trunks Medium autocombo dont trigger cienamtic on Broly, wich dont trigger the wall bounce? I mean if I end it with 214S it triggers cinematic, but dont have that much corner carry. I had done the Medium autocombo (getting the cinematic) on GT, Kefla, SBroly, AGohan..but on Broly..nothing, no cinematic, no wall bounce.

Medium shining slash definitely whiffs in most situations. You really only want to use that for keeping your turn during block strings.

I think he used the light one for the sake of it not falling and purposely shifting in the air but on the ground it could be for the sake of not having to delay stuff like the jS after the flip (an issue I’ve never run into) which I’ve heard is needed in smaller characters

I literally never use it, don't worry about it lol. I just put it in for completions sake. The M auto combo conversion is more important.

After the autocombo CTF, you can dash into 2M 5H S 214L S SD LL2H jcLLS 214L S 236M. Works on most of the cast fairly easily,no have more trouble with smaller characters. You can also delay a bit after the 2M and insert a 5M before the 5H to optimize a little more, but the timing can be hard.

Shining Slash into spark = 50%? May I ask for a notation, because I sure as hell have issues breaking 40% (without assists)

I don't know about raw Shining Slash, but if you can land 2M5H into Ex Shining Slash and then Spark and just do his corner BnB you can get over 6k without Limit Break or assists. There's probably vanish and assist shenanigans as well, but that's beyond me.

My fav Trunks combo is when you are near the corner and you can do 5H into fake ctf into lights. It's pretty difficult to pull off, but it is so cool. Shout out to Sage. Also, LK, you forgot to mention the side switch combo with Trunks.

I personally think Trunks is over hyped in season 3. Sure he's pretty fucking good now but he's not Bardock or Kid Buu good. But hey, that's just my opinion. I do struggle with landing his Cyclone Jump attacks. He's got the need for complete perfect timing, atleast in my experience.
