While people can sue DBKL for damages, the hard part is to prove that the pothole damaged your suspension and rims.

There should be promotions telling people this is a paying parking lot. Or else just make it general. All parking lots are payable. When you land in the airport or point of entry, there will be promotions telling everyone that all parking spaces are chargeable. Instead of depending on virtual payment, you can construct a paying meter in which you put in coins and then you wind it to 24 hours because you will be parking for 24 hours.

The types of drivers you're talking about here that are unaware of the parking rules and fees only represent a very small number. And your talk about promotions or whatnot seems like a waste of public funds. I'd say signage at strategic locations is good enough. Another thing... Dunno about you but when I drive in an unfamiliar city or town (or country) and I park my car in a parking space, one of the first question that comes to my mind is that is it free or should I be paying for the space. Because the last thing I want is to get a fine for not paying for the parking space. And I would generally ask someone about the parking (someone at a shop or whoever that looks local) or look for signage. Assuming that the parking is free just because we don't know if there are parking fees seems a bit irresponsible.

Actually the general public should not only blame DBKL but also look at themselves first. C'mon... everyone knows that public parking has to be paid, don't act naive.... At best, they probably just need to be informed of it. You can Google the role of the Ministry Of Transport. At no point does it say they are in charge of public parking system, fees, and fines in KL, or any other cities or towns in the other states. Look... You can dislike the guy if you want. That's your prerogative. But if you wanna blame Loke for things, at least be objective about it. Right now all you're doing is making things up as you go along. And that's just not good.

Agreed with the Mayor on the action taken as people educated and can have cars but still refuse to pay for parking and some complaining not aware even though there are posters and media reports. Some condo owners complain about shortage of parking spaces which shortage problems caused by owners having more cars than the number provided with the condo units. Bless all

Parking using apps has made things difficult for seniors. Not everyone has the apps and it's not easy to register to the apps.I went to Penang and I tried downloading the apps for half and hour unsuccessfully. I finally gave up... luckily a local man was nice enough to help me to pay for the parking..

The parking app should allow short period of parking starting from 15 mins onwards. Such as by 15 mins or 30 mins. 1 hour parking as minimum is too much for those who just need to drop by for a short while. Please improve the FlexiPark app.
