In real life, the Karabiner 98k's safety was like that, if you pulled the trigger then switched the safety to off, it would fire, they done this purposely you see, same with where you said you cut yourself deeply on the spring mechanism, it is supposed to be like that, it replicates the real thing and it isn't a bayonet lug, it's a cleaning rod and on a final note, you can use aftermarket Stripper clips, (even real ones from the actual Kar98k from the war and also slings)

@@random-nutz5613 Apologies. Shells don't exit properly up to 50% of the time and the small pin holding the front iron sight in place has fallen out. I have yet to play a proper match with it yet. Shell ejection is cool to look at, however the most annoying flaw is the fact that if you dont put the BBs in juuuuuust right, they will either shoot with low speed or wont come out at all. Im not sure if this is a problem will all shells, or just the OEM ones. Save yourself the hassle and get a magazine-fed version.

I got this off amazon and it was horrible, 6 days after I got it the spring and safety mechanism came out the back of the bolt while I was aiming and it came out with such force I needed 6 stitches under my eye. Not only that but the sight pin popped out, the front sight cover came off, and the handle broke off the bolt.

I put a real Mauser stock with the real hardware on mine. It worked out fairly well, even though the dboys stock seems to be slightly higher than the real one. The barrel also seems to be about 5mm too long so my bayonets didn't fit properly until I shortened the barrel. (I put a Well MB03 into the Dboys stock, which was great fun.) The measurements are not perfect but still fairly accurate (compared to, say the gletcher m1891 which is much worse). My main gripes are that the front ring and the bayonet lug are a single part, so you have to take off the front sight (there's a tiny screw holding it on) to get them off. Also the ringfeder is plastic. The fake putzstock is pathetic. It's a pity there are no markings - but at least there are no inaccurate ones... The extractor is plastic too, I haven't found a way to replace it with metal. A real Mauser extractor doesn't fit.

Because the specs of this gun isn't that great. When bringing it to an airsoft skirmish match you're going to be vastly outgunned. People using 400 fps guns with .23 bb's against you is going to be frustrating when using this gun clocking around 300 fps using .20 grams. Also, picking up the rounds is going to be a pain.

I combined mine with a genuine WWII wood stock and aged the metal parts. It looks great now. I even stamp the year 1942 in some of the metal parts. It's a beautifull item.

Played with it a lot when I owned it, really fun! The novelty of the shells ejecting never gets old for me. It also proudly had a special place on the rack due to it's uniqueness and all the quirks they bring. If I was to do it again, I'd buy 2, one for the cabinet and one I rack until they shells no longer eject lol. ^^

+MrFreefonix Sorry buddy but the law is the law 😊 If your country requires you to be registered to own an Airsoft replica, the only solution is aquire registration. It doesn't take much for UKARA, we don't game much either as we're more of a collector but in order to be eligible to buy an airsoft rifle when we were in the UK we played 3 games over the period of no less than 2 months to be registered and gamed every once in a while. Its a blast if you just wanna have some fun but the guns that the sites rent out can be pretty low end. If you are really, really worried about getting shot at, you could wear two layers of clothes, full head gear and eye protection. Play fair, call your hits and most importantly have fun. also for those whos planning to get this, i might add: the shells get damage if u play on concrete floor and cause the tip of the shell to deform. have to use a plier to reopen the tip. i wouldnt suggest ejecting the shell on hard floor. im looking for way to lower the impact to the tip. also the ejector bites on too hard at the butt of the shells, dunno if itll do it any good in the long run ( i notice if the shell is too new, it will get jammed up there easily) the safety mechanism must also be always centered when cocking the bolt, or else the bolt wont go all the way up abd get stuck. im planning to super glue a small contact part of the oring on the butt of the shells bec it keeps falling off. Man this gun is tiring. need abit of a muscle to get that last 1cm to push back the bolt

DeMize Pothead It’s really pot luck when buying this rifle, the materials used are indeed very low grade and the design could use a few tweaks, our advice would be to only buy it if you can get it dirt cheap, as, if it breaks soon after buying (not unheard of) it would be very unfortunate if you spent good money on it. DeMize Pothead No worries! If it were our choice, for the price we would get something else. No matter how much fun you have with it, eventually the problems will be so troublesome that you’ll hang it on the wall and only play with it very rarely, if it hasn’t broken already. We loved ours so we took real extra care in looking after it, if we didn’t we’re pretty sure it would have broke beyond repair. ^^

First day I got this the shell extractor broke on the bolt. Just the part that kicks the shell out though. Also it was part of what kept the bolt locked in place so now the bolt always comes out when extracting a round...

The closest u can get is buy a real one and join a re- enactment group ( they shoot blanks ONLY) don't even think about adding a projectile, but there are airsoft games where "blank fire weapons " are allowed if u pass the criteria. You can't shoot at anyone who is closer then the minimum safe distance.

MaNameDan At the time of purchase we were in England, if you’re looking to buy one now you may have to go for a different brand as the Dboys were slightly less available. Last time we checked, there were shell ejecting Kar98k’s in Mong Kok and lots of sets of spare shells from the Airsoft shops. 👍🏼

Gage Berube Honestly, no. You can get much much better for your money. This rifle is for people absolutely needing the look of a vintage era weapon, or re-enactments. The build quality is very random and some of these rifles break and malfunction even if you baby them.

@@gageberube4553 They are very hard to find at the moment, seems everyone wanted one just after Xmas. Double Bell is the brand that released many units, if you can find one of that brand they're almost the same as the Dboys version. Finding one in stock right now is almost impossible.

@@gageberube4553 Nice! We loved our Dboys rifle and the shell eject was indeed a great feature, so if thats what you're after then this rifle is perfect! Do consider carefully though as the problems with this rifle are quite substantial as noted in the video. The hop up is not vey good, accuracy and consistency suffers due to the design and the fact that there are no upgrade or replacement parts should something go wrong. Our rifle was proudly displayed on our wall and we loved it very much despite the problems, as it offers lots of fun and realism.

We've never handled the MP40 but If you are gaming, we'd probably lean towards the AGM MP40, that way you won't be out-gunned or picking up shells when the opposition engages you. There are also minor issues such as the bb getting stuck in the shells sometimes and the bolt coming out of the receiver which will be horrific in a firefight lol. Just our opinion though, we love our Dboys Kar98k but it does have it's share of problems, thank you very much for watching! ^^

I got mine today and is was very happy with it , but after a couple shots the gun fires without me pulling the trigger , Also when reloading it doesen't cock the gun, do you know whats wrong with it please help me Sir !!

Im very sorry to hear about your problems, unfortunately, if something has broken, there are no replacement or upgrade parts that I'm aware of, if it isn't because it's broken then its because of it's design, which has many flaws lol. And the last time I tried to take the gun apart, I cut my hand on the underside of the razor sharp bolt... I nearly cut my hand clean off!!! Lol. So I wont try to take it apart ever again, maybe someone else with this gun has had a better experience at modifying it to work better. Sorry I cant be of more help ^^

I tried, and the shells don't fit well into real clips, and the clips don't fit well in the clip slot. So it doesn't really work. They sell clips that do fit, though.

How much pressure do you need to get it to cock it. I too have had the uncocked shell ejection. But my rifle is at times nearly impossible to cock. anyone else have that issue?

That's not an adjustment for elevation, it's for distance. it us set by default, to 100 meters, and can go all the way up to 2000 meters.

Seriously? Yes, you have to adjust ELEVATION (which it is called in the firearms industry) for the distance u need.
