Terminologies:
BS: Battle Spells are extra abilities any hero can equip. Never forget to check if you have the appropriate BS based on your line up and the enemy team's line up. This can only be set up prior the game which is during the draft pick/preparation phase.
CC: Crowd Control is the act of disabling heroes. (Stun, Slow, Silence, Root Etc.)
Objectives: Jungle Objectives such as the Turtle, Lord etc. This also includes Turrets, and of course, the opposing team's base.
Camping: The act of hiding and attempting to Gank a hero multiple times with the intent of preventing its growth.
Freeze/Lane Freezing: Act mostly done on the Side lanes to prevent over exposure. Mostly done during the earlier stages of the game, or when enemies aren't visible in the mini map.

When you explain Hilda's skills and effectiveness, a safe counter against her would be Esmeralda. Esmeralda's builds are also flexible and can be used with at least 1 damage item. Her poking ability is on par with Hilda's. Esmeralda's passive also ignores her shields, so Hilda can have a hard time laning against Esmeralda. Even with Hilda's bush regen, Esme can also recover her own HP using her skill 1. TLDR: Esmeralda is good against Hilda.

That's right. Though, I guess the problem when you pick Esme is the rest of the heroes can deal with her. Esme is pretty bad right now because of the nerfs she got some patches ago. Her shields don't scale as good as it used to. There's a reason why she's 3rd bottom win rate globally at 42% with very low pick rate of around 0.3%. normally, heroes with low pick rates have higher win rates since the very few people who are part of those low pick rates are the mains of those heroes, so if a hero has a low pick rate and a low winrate only means that even players capable of playing that hero effectively are having a hard time winning.

250 star and EXP main here, there is no winner between Hilda and Esme since both are very durable, can hold their ground and retreat if needed. Plus, no good EXP picks Hilda for a 1v1 even if she has a strong early game damage. Hilda is a used as a target locker for enemy's squishy heroes while Esme is used as a counter for shields(not really a shield meta). So in conclusion, Hilda is the perfect counter to the current meta heroes while Esme is just another situational pick

If you pick Esme against Hilda, you're just watching Hilda picking off your teammates while you can do nothing about it

Very well said. Though I disagree with the EXP lane part. She's alright as an EXP laner, better than half of the fighters, but she is best as a Roamer. Basically what I do is, I pick Hilda as flex pos, then I adjust based on my teammates. Whatever lane is available, I play her on that lane.

Esmeralda is very squishy without her shields... In a proper 1v1 she wins against Hilda but if Hilda engaged first while esme had some cooldowns she might be in trouble

I agree with Alpha being the only counter. As for Thamuz and Freya, just like you stated, they get kited by her s1 during their ultimate. As a Thamuz main I would never pick him into Hilda unless it's good vs the rest of the enemy and I can play safe and look to scale.

My go to pick against Hilda exp is Cici and Hylos, Cici deals HP base dmg and is very mobile. For Hylos, both of them are good in long fights but from my experience Hilda loses against Hylos at lvl 1-3. Though once she gets her ult, she can easily kill Hylos without items ready

Cici is a headache. She's one of the heroes I need to be mindful of when laning, just like Phoveus. Though I manage to outmatch them more than half the time, but it will always be a challenging game against them. Hylos, not sure. Levels 1 to 3, yeah, very challenging. But after level 4 Hylos is manageable. His large HP pool also fuels Hilda's ultimate.

Idk if it's just me but I've had a hard time dealing with Phoveus on Exp lane. Every time I initiate to stack up my thunderbelt I'm always having a hard time to get out of that lantern freak. Skill issue?

Are you using Hilda buddy? Don't force getting stacks on your TBelt against Pho. That's the problem. I wouldn't call Phoveus a counter against Hilda, but he is definitely a good match up. I don't consider him a threat though. More like an inconvenience. If you're playing Hilda against Phoveus, don't overcommit to duels. In the end, one of the objectives of an EXP laner is to keep the EXP lane intact so that your allies can focus on other lanes and objectives and leave defending that lane to you. Utilize bushes and take advantage of Hilda's passive. In case you are using spells such as Execute or Sprint, it might be a better idea to use Vengeance against Phoveus in order for Hilda to survive long enough to rack up her passive skill's stacks. I would also consider getting Dominance instead of Tbelt since you won't be able to effectively rack stacks for Tbelt anyway.

Just to add I ain't sure if this is the case but I think that Hilda's 2nd and 3rd and even basic AA from skill 1 are considered a blink skill that is why when I'm trading blows with Phov using my skills he always had the advantage because his skills CDs are basically unlimited because of Hilda. Exactly. That's why you shouldn't trade blows with him needlessly. Just manage the lane properly, survive, be patient, and only go for the kill if there's an opportunity such as if your jungler or roamer helps you. But if they're not there, focus on lane management. If possible, don't pick Hilda against him especially if you are still trying to learn proper lane management, but if you picked Hilda first and someone picks Pho, don't be too overly aggressive. Sometimes it's good to know your match up. Against phov is better to just cut lane and rotate early to harass enemy jungle. He's rotation speed is slow. Plus that's the meta nowadays. Cut lane and rotate early. Khalid, bene and Hilda is great in this meta

I think Cici and Balmond with waraxe can destroy Hilda in the laning phase. Since both of them can deal continuous damage and gain spellvamp sustainably.

Yeah, that's good advice. Or depending on the MM, use their own strength against them, especially crit mms. Get Blade Armor. If the situation permits, get Vengeance instead of Sprint. Had a match yesterday against Miya. Miya thought they were slick not attacking when my Vengeance was up, but I had Blade armor. Miya's own damage melted her own butt like a torched plastic knife.

Bruh, just pick phoveus. All her skills are considered a dash, which are just free shields for him

Yup that's right. Literally all of her skills. Only problem is once Hilda gets Domi, she still has a good chance against Pho. I always have a worse time against Alpha than Pho. Even if you have Domi, Alpha's CD still lets him spam skills and regain a lot of HP, especially when there are minions around. As a Hilda main, I've encountered a lot of Phoveus players, it's inconvenient, annoying, but there's still an out. With Alpha, the only out is to avoid him, or wait for the perfect timing such as advantage in numbers, if he's underleveled, etc. He doesn't even need to use his ult to defeat Hilda.
