I carried my brother's cremated remains to the front of the church to this song. He was born in 1980 and I was in 1985 this movie and this song where huge part of our childhood. And then when we got older we would drive around singing it together..God I miss you Vinnie

Sad story. Sorry to hear and condolences. A life cut short is always tragic but the associated grief is the price we pay for loving someone. Most people would want to be fondly remembered but never for our loved ones to live a life of sorry because of our passing. Hopefully you have found peace and comfort in your fond memories together.

Despite the awesome darkness of this movie, it also captures the freedom and creative explosion of the 80s, it really was an extremely fun time, the entire decade for me. I at once love all the 80s stuff now available on youtube but sometimes its almost hard to watch/listen to, because I wana go back home so bad sometimes. I miss the 80's loads too. I tell my kids it was the best time to grow up, so much more freedom back then. Stayed out all day, and didn't go home until it started to get dark. I won't dare allow my kids out now like that, not on their own, not these days. Best movies, they don't make them like that. They've tried, but they can't seem to capture the same magic, like The Lost Boys, or The Goonies etc. I wish I could go back in time and be a kid again xx

Back in our day commercialization of movies WORKED! If you liked what you saw companies wanted to advertise to your product then along came cable vision where commercials were still ram-rodded down your throat but it didn’t matter because you had to pay for a bazillion channels that you didn’t watch. Eventually they figured this out and learned that quality no longer mattered. You’ll pay your cable bill and their pure SHIT will continue to air no matter if people watched it or not. Agenda-vision was born and now that we are all watching internet TV it’s even worse! I don’t know a single person that actually watches The Simpson’s or The Family Guy but look how long this shot has been running? If you try to watch a NetFlix series you will find that is almost always in its first or second season then it just goes away. Today’s TV fuckin sux ass!!!! I’m so sick and tired of the Gay agenda, anti-Christian agenda, anti-USA agenda, All White guys are stupid and weak agenda being injected into everything I watch! I dunno about you folks but I’m turning the shit OFF until somebody makes something entertaining for me to watch again!!!!

I was 25 when this came out. Saw it first in a theate on the big screen. I was Living in Northern California at the time, took weekend trips to Santa Cruz & the boardwalk. Loved this movie from the first frames & first notes of the soundtrack. The train bridge scene blew me away. What a beautiful cinematic dream to wrap around my youth, when I felt as young & strong & cool as the kids in this movie. I'm 61 now! But this movie always takes me back to those truly golden years.

@@klauslgeiger They probably got an isolated track. Most tunes you hear are multi tracked. So they record drums, keyboards, bass, guitars, other instruments, lead and backing vocals all separately. Most artists have been doing this since the 1960s. A notable exception is The Beatles. Isolated tracks are not always easy to get because they exist as a master copy that was virtually impossible for the public to get before the internet.

Silly boy. You say that like it's automatically assumed the entire universe will agree with you. FYI, what you would have snarled at as being an SJW reboot was already attempted - in the 1990s. Joel Schumaker had his own sequel he tried to get off the ground about motorcycle riding vampire women. The studio wasn't a fan of his Batman steerage, so it get shelved in order to make the two sequels, much to his anger. Back then, people weren't scared or hateful enough to brand it an SJW move. It was just a new twist on a familiar formula, and it had at least some support in the fandom of the day. With any luck, we'll see a reboot that follows that formula, just so the scared ones in the fandom can freak out. ^_^

In 2009 on July 5th, I sat on Santa Cruz beach after it went dark with the fairground noises behind me and the light from the full moon beaming across the ocean in front of me. I sat out for about half an hour taking it in - replaying the film and songs in my mind, watching the moonlight shining through the waves with the lights and noises from the fair and boardwalk - before returning to my friends on the fair. Lost boys has been my favourite film since I was 4; I've watched it more than a thousand times over. A truly magic moment I think about most days, that still makes me feel overwhelmed with emotion. Magic moments give reminiscing a hyperbolic sense of meaning. I implore you to have at least one that means something to you individually; not your kids, your family, your work, but just you. This was just for me and I love that. It will make me feel good forever and no one can take that away from me.

one of the best vampire movies ever that doesn't need a reboot or remake. back when the Cory's were living Legends. Jason Lee was bad ass. and Keifer was terrifying and deadly. Sucks today's kids think vampires need to sparkle and fall in love 😂😂 they will never understand what it meant to be apart of a pact!!!!!!!

It’s 2024. Still one of the greatest movie soundtracks ever. God I miss the 80’s. The greatest decade ever. My childhood. Born in 75. I would give anything to relive it.

I remember back when twilight was a thing and my daughter's were vampire crazy, and was like....just wait til you're old enough....a couple yrs later we watched Lost Boys, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Interview with the Vampire....and now , no more sparkly vampires.

What did your kid think of the movie? It seems so many teens and 20 somethings today don't even like the movies of these days. Mine sure do.
@lilpain1997 Жыл бұрын
@@deannadove3505 I'm 25 going on 26 and apparently this was my favourite film as a child and I would watch it constantly. Just re watched it last night and loved it still. Love a ton of 80s films Ghostbusters, The thing, The Lost Boys, the goonies, A Nightmare on Elm Street you name it. How can anyone dislike good films? Age of the film means nothing to me unless its like 50s and 60s films. I just cant watch those at all.

@Ramirez I am just a die-hard 1980's fan, & I love the entertainment & the music of the 80's. I just wish that I was able to live the 80's the way that it was meant, not just enjoy the movies & music in retrospect. The only 3 bands that I don't care for from the 80,s are... The Stray cats, Adam Ant & the J. Giles band.
