this works better on hybrid turbo's because usually the inlet is bored out so usually a bigger turbo inlet will allow you to flow more air through the turbo but won't really made a lot of difference with a stock turbo

There's a few dyno tests that were done with just an aftermarket inlet and they all did provide gains. Yes definitely on a hybrid turbo you'll definitely see more gains just as you said with the compressor cover being bored out for a bigger wheel on the turbo. Regardless this is the largest diameter of any inlet and can flow the most volume as proven in the website I referenced. Couldn't be happier with it

Would you recommend getting this to pair with OEM air box with drop in filter or is it necessary to get CAI?

I have the same setup and have yet to install it. How did you get it installed, did you leave the intake tube on and were able to still rotate it in or did you have to take the intake off and finagle it on once the TIP was installed?

It will fit stock turbo yes. As for the stock pipe I don't think it will fit. You'll need a silicone elbow or some silicone tube something that has a bit more flex

Didn't take long. Few weeks or so? DBV2 posts when they are processing a new batch on their Facebook page and you just sign up for it. But it was worth the wait

I didn't as I don't use a catch can system. But it is a nice option for those who couldn't previously use this elbow. This elbow is by far the best on the market.
