Just bought mine today! It's an awesome piece and I have the same issues as you. The Batman figure's head bumps against the canopy and will scratch the top of his head. I also have the Batmobile and love it. I didn't know about the cloth cape, I bought the figure way before buying the vehicles.

There was talk at previous Toy Fairs and Cons that this Batwing was possibly going to ship with some hooks or hangers - so it could be stored (or displayed) on your wall. Obviously, that didn't happen. Still, I suppose some hooks covered in foam could keep it up on your wall?
