I think DC comics does a pretty piss poor job at promoting their own books. No one for the longest time even knew that a milestone relaunch even happened and it’s still talking about they want static to get another series not knowing that he has a book out right now

I do vaguely remember the initial milestone promo. But it’s gone quiet since and yeah there’s a whole continuation of that universe and the only promo I’m seeing is from the writer. Like what?

i’m sorry but expecting all the promo to be on twitter is ridiculous. i’ve seen a lot of solid promo from interviews on comic websites, reddit amas, and cbr community forums. a lot of people who actually buy comics are not on twitter (including me).

Oh agreed! But the point I was making was about overall promo. Twitter is indeed a big platform but press for these books, especially new ones are lacking. And The KZbin stuff is very hit or miss. Not everyone is on Reddit or the forums so I think it’s a missed opportunity not to utilize some of the basic centralized platforms. Those I believe, you can attract more ppl with, outside of die hards like us 😎 Thanks for commenting!

Nah, DC's only promotion is the writer himself going out of their way to go do interviews, this is fucking stupid strategy. The creatives being the ones seeking ways to promote the work when they are under one of the BIG 2 labels of comics is crazy. No wonder Marvel is getting ahead, DC don't care enough to promote their own shit.
