In this video, we will discuss a design of a DC-DC Single-Ended Primary-Inductor Converter (SEPIC). The operation of the SEPIC converter is similar to the Ćuk converter. The SEPIC converter can produce an output voltage that is either greater or less than the input voltage but with no polarity reversal.
Emphasizing an open-loop configuration, the converter will function in the continuous conduction mode (CCM). Using the specifications for the output voltage, output current, and output ripple voltage, we shall undertake the calculation of necessary component values. We follow a methodical step-by-step calculation process, followed by validation of our calculations through simulations in MATLAB/Simulink. #MATLAB #Simulink
