@@andrewmcquain I blame St. Louis city and county for not agreeing on a stadium location back in 1987 because the football Cardinals owner wanted to stay in St. Louis. At least as a result of the St. Louis lawsuit with the NFL over the Rams it came out it took an indemnification agreement for owners to think they were being protected by Kroenke for moving the Rams out of St. Louis and not be a part of its new stadium. Kroenke saw much more money for him though in the much larger L.A. market so he would have never been part of its new stadium. St. Louis should have been given an expansion team if they wanted a team in L.A. that bad. Kroenke was far too weathly of an owner for St. Louis.

@@larryloveless2967 St. Louis has lost more than just two NFL teams. They also lost the Atlanta Hawks and the Baltimore Orioles, as well as the expansion that became the Jaguars. Overrated sports town. No city has lost more teams than St. Louis.

@@andrewmcquain I I agree St. Louis is not much of a basketball city. The Hawks were very popular in the 1950s and early 1960s but the Blues hockey turned out to be much more popular. I agree St. Louis does not have the market to support 2 baseball teams even though the Cardinals rival the much larger markets of Los Angeles and New York in baseball. The St. Louis Browns were just so similar to the Chicago Cardinals football team when they moved here in 1960 in that they owned the stadium but their tenant the Bears in their case had far better success on the field. The foortball Cardinals owner wanted to stay in St. Louis in 1988 but the city and county foight over a stadium site resulting in no stadium. Attendance was never an issue. If the Jaquars owner had been given the permission to purchase the STL Rams owner Kroenke they would still be in St. Louos today. Attendance was never an issue there as well. Kroenke knew he could make more money in the large L.A. market and even with his indemnifcation agreement that was suppose to protect the NFL owners from St. Louis lawsuits for stealing the team, St. Louis was prepared to abandon a 20 year old stadium and build yet another stadium. . Only the Cardinals and Bengals owners stuck with St. Louis despite the indemnifcation agreement. This is why St. Louis crowds excel in the XFL. It also took the right owneership from that of the Enterprise owners to build a privately funded soccer stadium. Many years of Catholic youth league soccer along with the largest Bosnian immigration in the country following the Yugolavian war will now show the world St. Louis rivals soccer support only seen in other countries such as England. So in a way, for a small market city. St. Louis is indeed the best of the best.

This was a very good game. DC Defenders were better but the Battle Hawks gave it a try at the end. I am just glad to see the big crowds for their games. And the soccer team won their 4th straight game tonight now 4-0 in their first season. . Big night in downtown St. Louis.

I was waiting for Abram Smith to bust out. And boy did he! DC’s run game is insane. Smith is a beast, and the backup Armstead is REALLY good too (he was hurt this week), and the have 2 QB’s who can run…one of them as good as a RB. This offense is tough to defend!

The reason why Smith is so successful running the ball is because he does what a lot of running backs don't do. He keeps it simple he sees the hole and hits it and after he hits it he does one simple move and that's it. He doesn't do all of this dancing around and tries to look cute he just goes. It's looks a lot like how Terrell Davis use to run the ball.

Good point! Don't know why in recent years runners and even receivers do way too much shuffling instead of just moving downfield. Shuffling is the kiss of death for a runner but they keep doing it anyway.

Aj started off slow but really got it going in the end. That o line is just horrendous against a good rush defense. I know he's kicking himself on that last drive. He had them moving with the dump off and the defense baited him that int. Made it look they were gonna cover him but the corner still dropped back on the receiver. That's a great play by the corner and something I'm sure aj wasn't expecting at that level. DC is probably the best team in the xfl but st. Louis is my most favorite team to watch by far.....

the only teams that would make it far in this league are the teams that are taught extensively how to protect the football. not being loose with the football in your hands, tucking it every time. not forcing the ball into double or triple coverage. not many teams have been taught that and it shows. dc is the best at it so far.

They played DC the best out of any team this season, and they beat the Roughnecks. St. Louis is 1-2 in the north. They were handed 2 free wins against the south.

Very entertaining game. I think the XFL has everything correct except the kickoff. It’s a good try though. Better than the NFL version. Kickoffs are still boring and stupid. Id like to see them go to wide hash marks.
