@The_Humble_Hurricane3 жыл бұрын
@@notoftentold4076 those kicks were hurting Khabib too. Even after the first round, Gaethjes Corner noticed the effects it had on his walking back to the Cage. You could see Khabib trying hard not to let himself get hit by many either after he felt a few. What made the difference is that Khabib was able to predict, time and react to one of those leg kicks and absorb it while getting the take down. Kicks are the most powerful weapons we have at our disposal but we will ALWAYS lose mobility while throwing them. Khabib knew he only needed to take one kick to secure one take down in the second round to end the fight. Sacrifice and trade off.

@@30seconds2impact 1. He worked on cardio, thus weakening his power. 2. He swapped karate wide stance for flat foot thus making him more stationary target with terrible footwork. 3. He dropped to 155 naturally this time, this also made him weak, I mean he went from jacked to teenage boy torso in the space of a year. 4. He worked on takedown defence and clench, again this is less time in the gym working striking. I feel he tried to be a jack of all trades when he could have remained and improved on what he’s naturally good at (a deadly accurate and illusive striker).

2:48 True, Dustin felt like he could handle Conor's power, but he Conor wasn't himself that night. Something was off, he seemed to slow and not as effective and powerful on his shots. He dropped Nate more than once with clean shots, and Nate has one of the toughest chins, never falls. Not taking anything away from Dustin, he came with a plan and performed it perfectly, but something seemed very off and wrong with Conor never seen him like that.

Eddie Alvarez threw calf kicks on Conor first you see him fall a couple times in the first round. what is everyone's opinion regarding McGregor's power? DC said once Porier got one clean he grew confidence because it didn't drop him yet im of the thought that conor shouldve pressed after that clean shot and not sat back and let Dustin recover. I think alot of people have misconceptions of conors power. Its not TOD power but it is timing and volume power.

McGregor came out kickboxing in the first fight and effectively dictated the range, keeping Poirier on the back foot and countered every time Poirier threw the leg kick. McGregor tried to box this time and once Poirier figured the timing out he found his flow state and it was GG.

Dustin vs Chandler that way if Mike wins you know Khabib will come back. Conor vs Hooker or Gaetje (all coming off losses) whoever doesn't fight Conor fights Tony (coming off a loss too). Charlie Olives vs Nate (yes he's coming back and at 155, apparently Nick is coming back at 170) for #1 contender or Charlie waits for the winner of title fight.
