Learned the hard way when I used those chrome silver pen, I now then spray either gloss or matte finish sealer after ,no more silver smudges on my hands 😊

Classic Steel by Mafex is the best version of the character and comes with an assortment of alternate hands, 3 head sculpts and wired cape!

One bad thing is..not for people who collect 7" like me.... That Steel is like 5" and for $100.... I'd rather buy 3 Mcfarlane Steels and Custom one ...keep one standard and one MIB ... Save $40 ...but to each their own...👍💀

I gotta say, I'm excited to get him in hand. But I'm really not a fan of the blue splatter paint Todd elected to put on him. It just seems really unnecessary imo. But he's a character I love and wana add to the collection.

Yeah.... Luckily mine had minimal blue paint... But I'm pretty sure there will eventually be a Reign of Superman pack.. hopefully it's a different repaint of Steel...👍💀

Quick tip for That Chrome paint that takes Forever To dry..... Wait Just about 20 or 30 min then Apply primer or Mod podge And That will seal it Perfectly in just a few minutes

Great review. I picked up the platinum version and have done similar paint mods. I'm just waiting on a red soft goods cape for him. Oh, and his hammer is awful. Mine has already warped badly lol

If you ever want a quick hack for Mcfarlane flaccid hammer handles buy a few cheap terminating screwdrivers for your local hardware section to replace them did it for Shao Khan, maybe take a figure hand with you to gauge the size

wow, I never thought about making an actual solar suit out of that stealth superman! I'm hoping my luck holds out with Amazon and they send me both a regular and platinum steel because everytime I order 2 of a figure from Amazon if there's a platinum variant they always send one regular and one platinum, however I really hope they send 2 regular mullet supermans and not that green variant!

Back in the day, during the Reign storyline, I THOUGHT Cyborg Superman was the real Superman 🤣 (I was a kid) but Steel was easily my favorite character. Gonna display this one with Eradicator, Superboy, Solar Superman, and Mongul. If we get a Cyborg Superman and a REAL recovery suit Superman, my action figure journey may finally be complete.
