First off I hate how they released this. Unarmored Darkseid doesn't need to exist. I think that was a bait and switch because they waited until after all the preorders sold out and shipped to announce Armored Darkseid was a Target exclusive. I think it was anti consumer. Personally I think the figures have consistently had the same problems that are offset by I think impressive sculpts. We get a great armored Batman from the JL movie or the TDKR comic but then we get a great looking Dr Fate where the ball pegs on the wrists look like tumors. They all use the same poorly sculpted elbows/knees but some designs draw less attention. This feels like a statue that got converted to a figure at the last minute which shouldn't be an issue now. Aesthetically it's fine but as a figure, you're right it's got some serious issues. The wrist joints for these big figures that Mcfarlane uses need to be banned. I don't know why they use it as its ugly as sin and their current standard can certainly be scaled up. The mechanism as is does nothing for it. I don't think the aesthetic and articulation need to be at odds here. Everyone else has figure it out. The bicep is a mess. I think unarmored doesn't have the mushroom cap or the cap doesn't sit well in the shoulder so it's useless. Armored feels like they corrected it with a better mushroom cap except the bicep peg will come out in use. So you need to reglue it. The knees can go back more....well one of them after heating. Again why did they give this figure non standard Mcfarlane hinges? I'm not sure why this needed this new connection. But it's going to sell(online at least because in Store in a mess) because there are no other options that aren't vastly more expensive. Though those options are also all statues. Unless Storm pulls out like a $65 Darkseid. Back the standard Mcfarlane Hinges. I get growning pains back when the line started but now it's time for a version 2/3 of the body. They already have to do new sculpts. Redesigning the hinges to either off more range or being aesthetically pleasing should have in the works.

Mcfarlne figures have a lot of articulation problems like their legs and head coming off. They are not as stiff as marvel legends which I hate it. My devastator's leg just came off(not broken) as I moved it and the same goes to my Arkham Knight Batman.

I think McFarlane goes for that kind of wristjoint as hit&miss because the balljoint are way better in terms of use but in some figures looks awful. Same with the legs. I hope these shortcomings can improve in future megafigs.

Someone took the armor off the armored figure. It’s a different lower torso. It’s thicker. It’s almost like when they went into production they confused the torsos and the shirtless body that is thinner should of had the armor as it would have more room for articulation

Have you ever thought about importing the brands that are More expensive in Mexico? My currency is very wrak right now and it's still cheaper going that route for me. Idk how your currency holds up currently but can't be much worse than mine if it isn't better

Money Saved! It is astonishing to see how they went from making great figures with sufficient paintjobs like OG MK Spawn, Azrael, Hellbat, Superman Unchained to straight up mediocre if not terrible releases/re-releases.

Sans spawn, those figures don't really have much paint. It's the plastic molding that's the color. If they are painted then it's because those parts get glued onto the body after painting. Across the board the paint apps first to do are ones that need to be applied onto the body in intricate ways.
