ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

I only sadly have the Endless Winter Jon Stewart and the Blackest Knight Collect To Connect wave Kyle Rayner Green Lantern figures from McFarlane, However, I might try to get this classic style Hal Jordan Green Lantern figure because he looks cool especially with the head sculpt and that so fun classic design, Overall Great review Shartimus.

I have a bunch of Mattel DC action figures and I most definitely prefer the Mattel DC line over the Mcfarlane.

This is the single best (modern) GL figure that McFarlane have released. It looks like Hal Jordan and the extras are pretty cool. I have the Kyle Rayner GL, which I thought was excellent, but this knocks spots off it. The digital side is pointless, though.

Mattel’s DCUC is easily better than McFarlane’s DC Multiverse. If DCUC was made in 2024 it would be perfect.

Oh hell no, McFarlane has put effort into keeping up with modern engineering standards, and the detail for a lot of their figs is EXQUISITE. If McFarlane had only kept the 6" scale, I'd be buying more than just what I can fudge into my current display (Martian Manhunter, Grodd, Swamp Thing).

"Nothing at all... Nothing at all..." STUPID SMIRKING HAL HEAD SCULPT! All that Mattel's lines still have going for them, in hindsight, is the 6" scale most long-time collectors have on their shelves. If McFarlane had just kept that scale, their attention to detail and updated engineering would have me buying WAY more! This smirking Hal is probably the best figure of him ever, at any scale.

No, Mattel shit the bed when it came to articulation. Which is why I'm not happy about Hasbro pausing the Lightning collection and outsourcing Power Rangers to Mattel. Not happy about them letting McFarlane make Marvel figures but the former makes me *less happy.* I have a very bad feeling about this. Edit: I also prefer pinned over painless because if something God forbid goes wrong and something breaks its way easier to fix. I know that these opinions are not popular, but this is the hill I have chosen to die on. I awake the KZbin comment section to crucify me as a heretic.

Pinned figures are better for customizing and it’s easier to fix but the durability on those figures aren’t so great compared to pinless. The pinned joints are separated so it’s easy for them to become loose and for the plastic to become soft and break. Compare any pinned figure from any company and compare it to pinless figures. The pinless joints are so much tighter

There's just no comparison between McTodd DC and Mattel 4 Horsemen DC. Todd just rubberstamps every DC figure that comes across his desk and 4H have been making the best sculpts in the business for decades.
