As long as DCUO is the only relevant superhero MMO on the market, it will never "die". My only concern is the new player retention, and the ever aging community. It's wild that I'm almost 30 and I started playing this a 17! I now have a 10 year old that plays the game, trying to keep the legacy strong.

Same, back when I played this game for 5 years straight seriously, this has been my greatest gaming experience to this day. But once they started with those time capsules and pay to win stuff it turned me off and I just gave up and left

I mean I returned because of the Superman Emblem, I needed it for my Superboy toon and I missed out on the 80th, I was around the 80th anniversary but my characters were under levelled at the time, I also thought it was a permanent addition last time. People usually tend to return if an iconic character or emblem is involved like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and ect.

DCUO isnt dead, but I noticed the lack of social activity and wait times with queue. Its nearly impossible to try the old DLCs as almost all the players are that are “maxed” out. The lack of of ideas and creativity with events has dwindled down to none. They only hope for a change would be huge revamp in the game or DCUO-2

We need this and we need that but what the game actually needs is for the developers to start taking care of their game. There are important gameplay factors that should’ve have been taken care of years ago and it’s still not been touched. You think this game will go on forever but I know that more and more people like me will start realizing how it’s not worth to pay for a subscription when you’re not getting your money’s worth. By then, it’ll be too late. I know that fixing bugs and stuff can end up making other things in the game worse but the devs aren’t even trying, they’re just focusing on new ways to make you spend money while the game has been the exact same for several years with no improvements.

Legends missions should have always been side stories or one player stuff like the Batman Arkham games. It could have been truly amazing but they dropped the ball.

yea i got to see 2 players asking for forming groups for legends pve and no replies to them just mostly world boss spam groups so either most players already have all the feats and don't want to help others get those feats or they just didn't care because they're wanting to grind world bosses for many different reasons i myself have seen on pc and PS server in the different phases most just ignore the request of grouping up for something that was only gonna be a week long maybe 2 weeks at most but i guess the devs were watching emails and such and saw that it wasn't getting enough attention to last for just the 1 day but i understand that a huge portion of the player base is split between seasonal and grinding world bosses so maybe they should wait for the seasonal to end first before bringing a legends timed event on in

Tbh I still haven't come back from the break I took a few months back. There has been a lot of good game releases lately and it seems like as soon as I am done with one there is something new to try. I have been hitting my daily logins again to prep for when I get some free time and I am hoping to jump in for the bonus rewards the next couple weeks. I do think this is about normal though. At least it felt like last year was similar. A lot of people like myself play lots of games and just come back for a few weeks when there is new content to experience. So its like even if its kinda dead atm people will always come back for new content. Personally in the last few months I been playing the new destiny season, starrail, sto events, the new bdo expansion, the new wow retail patch, classic wow also, finally tried out tower of fantasy, and even got ff7 remake on steam. Like there has been a lot to do for game hoppers. Sometimes I feel bad I can't be around all the time like if everyone played like me the game would die. Many games feel like this though and you can only support so many dieing mmos. I would suggest that if a game cant survive on it own merit by making people want to play then it shouldn't and no one player should feel the weight of holding the community up on there back. One day dcuo will die maybe before swtor maybe not but for sure before sto. My point is play what you find fun, support if you can when you feel like you want to, never feel like you have to pay money you needed to keep the game going and always be very thankful for the whales that do pay your share of the server space and the mono gamers that are the back bone of the social space in ever mmo.

My old league died last year around survival mode so the timing is the same. Merge or shut down dead servers and allow them to transfer their characters, merge hero and villain since at this point all content is the same and it would make getting groups faster.

I still have my PS3 Blu-ray disc of this game. That's how long I've been playing... granted, on and off. One of my early complaints is still my main complaint. Why can't we get better travel animations for our superpowers? For instance, flying. Why does everyone have to fly with one hand out? Why not let us pick flying styles, or unlock them? And depending on your speed it changes. You can start off flying with both hands at your side or fly with left or right hand out, or fly with both hands forward, or fly with the hands spread apart like an airplane. It would make sense for when you pick up certain drops that put like a webbing or wings between your arms and thighs so if your hands are spread plus{+) style it would look better. The animation for both hands forward is already in the game when you do a power swoop movement. As crappy as champions online may have been it has some of the best travel animations in a superhero MMO. And tell someone to get off of their lazy ass and fix the sustained hand blast powers. Why does every sustained blast look like lightning but then other sustained blasts from NPCs and other characters have focused beams? That's another gripe I've had for years. Other than that, I still enjoy the game.

I haven't been able to equip or unequip anything in my inventory since I reached level 30 and equipped the rank patch emblem and the lvl30 weapon. That's all I did. I can't move forward because my inventory is full, doesn't matter wich role, switching slots doesn't help, I can't even remove the gear I'm wearing

It’s dying because it can’t keep up with other rpg games. You got eso, Diablo 4, division 2, final fantasy xiv, phantasy star online, nioh 2, and monster hunter. They should give it to another developer. Also this is a pa3 game that made as far as gta5 so far in longevity. The population on dc universe is low on the us server it’s. I’m a villain. I doubt there are over 8 million players anymore . They need a new game not the same intro to rpg game they had since ps3. It’s not dead it’s dying. I’m mad at them!

Your title made me laugh 🤣😂 I quit the game years ago because of cyberbullies, people who listen to them and that got me kick out of raids, people only invite me (or go with groups) into alerts only for them to make me lose and waste my time. Like who the heck will stay into a alert for 2 hours???? And get invited to leagues only for them (again) waste my time only to make me lose. Nah, DCUO is not a game for me, so I move on to other games earning skills points, having fun and especially no drama and b.s. Once again to some players DCUO been dead years ago. I always said l be back at only if the bros l played with return, but most of them quit gaming and others are into other games like me. So l don't see myself returning to DCUO. But ye l enjoy watching your videos and you right, DCUO is not going to be cancel because a few players quit. For those who enjoy DCUO, keep on gaming and by GOD enjoy yourself. Peace ✌️

Damn, the game is dead again?! Well like you mentioned, people have been claiming the game has died year after year since before launch.. Well, I'll keep playing this dead game until the servers shut down as that will officially be when the game has died. And a graphics update was mentioned during a EG7 meeting or something, that was posting on the forums but it was shut down by the devs quickly. So unfortunately we have no idea what the PS5 and XBSX versions will bring. Since it was shut down so quickly, I'm guessing that it was talked about during a team meeting and the guy that presented it at their EG meeting just said it was happening for sure, because they just talked about it.. and the rest of the team was WTF dude!? But more seriously, we can only hope now that the 'update' is significant, however I'd imagine at best we get a full HD upgrade to every texture in the game, all styles, all locations, all enemies, etc updated to today's DCUO standard of graphics.

I wouldn't say it's the summer break or any break for holiday that drops the population it's the fact that people are maxed already. The episode is dead and boring. If they don't put anything new people won't play.

The Dramatic Drop in players happens July 4th pretty much every year. People do not get Maxed July 4th every year.... but the Summer Vacations in the US do coincide with July 4th.... heck the Devs will be on vacation as well. ;)

@@DCUOMultiverse true but you see a steady decline the long the episode goes on. And yeah it's been building to the summer. Don't think the 4th is the mark of decline. I honestly think more people are online they're just lower cr players. The endgame players stop because nothing new is added. And the people in school come back and catch up before they drop off in the fall for school. When we had the episodes that dropped before or around summer the endgame players didn't really leave. So we we had a reason to play people wouldn't leave. Nothing to do with the summer it's just boring. Same thing happened for Christmas because we got episode 44 in October and didn't have a reason to stick around and play for the holiday until the anniversary event came back. The devs should take advantage of the holiday/ school breaks make sure to have a new episode December, March, June, September. When you have to stretch an episode to last 4 months we see it's to long and gets boring. Last year we didn't get anything new all summer it was over do. That's why myself and lots of others stopped playing. Not necessarily because it was summer.

I am not saying this to be a jerk because your videos are awesome and amazing. With that being said, you need to learn how to do better audio for your video content. I have to turn my volume up all the way anytime I watch your videos and sometimes that is not even enough. I am surprised you have not been told this before as you are very popular and you have great material. Please improve your audio.

The biggest mistake they ever made is the cr cap, the cr doesn't matter anymore in 99% of the game. So, the whole game you are freaking weak and dont feel anything from your cr. My whole league stopped playing because of that. Over 120 active people are gone... This game lose players every month and then came up with ingame items for 37k Marketplace cash, wtf, they only milk the game and wanted to make as much money as possible from this almost dead game. They are ridiculous and I really hope this game is dead in one or two years, they give a sh+t about the players.

I reached level 30 after playing 100% solo. Now to advance the story in a coherent and linear way, I have to depend on the formation of groups. Fun part: the game is almost dead, so I have to spend the few free hours I have in front of a screen, just waiting forever for other people. 🙃

The game has been dead for some years now. Daybreak made it a pay to play cash grab. I’m glad some people still enjoy it at least.

That's a major part of what made me straight up quit. Haven't touched this game since like March 2023. Having to pay to get the good stuff is a bad move. I'm not gonna spend real currency just to be able to make justice league suits. Not to mention, you can't change lightning color, running animations, sound design can be pretty lackluster, can't throw super sonic punches & you can't run as fast as you should. And this game STILL hasn't gotten a graphics update. I'm seriously hoping this game gets a major turn around. Because this game can definitely be fun. It's just a shame that to be able to fully enjoy it, you gotta tediously grind, & pay for the stuff you want.

Im still endlessly waiting for Ps5 version of the game because current version is not optimised at all and likes to crash from time to time on Ps5. But so far they are focusing on Time Capsules instead of actual performance. Oh well..

oO Multiverse, why such a video. You know most people won't listen to your whole idea. ;) It's simply a dangerous move. Yes, you'll get views, but yet, you are not serving your point in using such a trick :) DCUO is absolutely not dead and will live as long as players keep playing DCUO. Yet, we all need to understand that Daybreak is currently making much efforts in making the game better and better and it comes with changes that are necessary. We got much things we didn't though it would come or come back (allies that are specific to certain roles or powers, superman emblem return, etc) and we got some balance with episodes. Kahndaq was a meh experience for me but Shock the System takes the best of episodes I loved to make it a great episode (FP, Wonderverse mechanics, for example) while learning from previous episodes (no more "kill 100 time the same boss feat", for example.

But it did seem appropriate for this video somehow. ;) Sometimes I do something different... or something I did not do in a while...... this was siuch time. :)
