I’ve only been buying for a little less than two years but in that time I managed to buy the most when it was the least comfortable. Between 16k-20k it was very uncomfortable but obviously very rewarding now that we’re around 30k.

James is absolutely right. Using options wisely is a great strategy. A speculative bet with $10k on a MSTR call option approaching the halving for 12-18 months can be amazing for alpha. Also, with buying a call option, you cannot lose more than the premium. It should be a small percentage of the eggs in your basket. Timing and strategy are immensely important

Options like I’m 10. You collect Pokémon cards. You think they will spike up in a few months. You go to someone with a huge collection and pay them a small fee to borrow 100 cards for 2 months. You are right. In a month Pokémon cards have doubled in value. You can then sell the option or exercise the option. Your friend let you borrow them but also agreed to sell them to you at the price they were when you borrowed them. You sell the Pokémon cards that are now double in price, you paid the premium fee to borrow but you just doubled your money. But most of the time you just sell the option and pocket the profit. Same concept in reverse with puts.

My mother worked in the graduate school admissions department at the University of Alabama while an undergrad there in the mid 70s. Back then there were a TON of foreign applicants especially from Iran and some eastern and southeastern, and south Asian countries. @31:00 For an LLC, if a judge rules that you are just using the LLC as an alias, they can "pierce the veil" and you lose LLC protection. People need to take extra steps than just set it and forget it. One popular option is to not open an LLC and just get umbrella insurance when starting out .

Thank you for reminding us that there is a 99% chance that our bitcoin investment is a good one, and of course there’s always going to be a very slight chance that bitcoin goes to zero for that even see it goes to zero for that we even die before any of this happens! ;-) it’s important to remember all of this, not to get to philosophical, but because it’s true, and it gives us context to our day-to-day lives, if we are not happy and enjoying what we already have, you’re likely to be unhappy, regardless of whether an investment goes up or down.

Data point: 4yr avg Dividend yield. Oil industry stocks I follow. 14 are currently yielding lower than their 4yr avg/3 are yielding higher. Suggests they're not raising their dividends, or the stock price is on the high side... maybe both. So... now is not the optimal entry point. 30 years with income stocks on my radar. I have come to the conclusion that the 4yr avg is the best guide for pulling the trigger or not.. Optimal for gauging entry points. Look for tha dividend to be at least 30% higher than the 4yr avg... and you will likely outperform the field.

Peter Lynch absolutely blows Buffet away as a value or just investor period. I have no clue why Buffet is more famous. Lynch produced 29% per year returns from ‘77-‘90 I believe, a 14 year period where around half of those years the market was down overall. He managed to do it while often owning up to 1100 stocks at a time too. Simply amazing. His book and advice referencing his Duncin Donuts winning investment is what pushed me over the edge to buy Academy Sports (ASO) ipo for 12 bucks (earnings x3 at the time) in late 2020, it sits at $63 right now.
