Congress needs to keep it's grubby little hands away from capacity decisions that need to be worked out by the professionals at the FAA and local airport authority. If the Washington airport authority believes that there is only so much capacity that's available at DCA, then they the FAA need to make a joint decision without the involvement of politicians.

Congress has no grasp of what DCA can or can't handle. How can a politician from 2000 miles away understand what goes on at DCA? During rush hours they have to hold planes on the already limited taxi ways to wait for gates. Increasing flights to Dulles on the otherhand is a no brainer. There is plenty of room for expansion. Congress needs to steer clear of this and allow the experts to handle the situation.

Do not add more flights to Washington Reagan National Airport. Please add new flights at Washington Dulles instead despite being 26 miles from Washington, DC.
