Hi Buddy 😀 Great explanation on the DCC bus 👍🏻 I put droppers on every piece of track no matter how small the section is 😂 Never had a train stall yet 👍🏻 Cheers Stevie 😎

It's a lot of work, but it will pay dividends later as you will have a very reliable layout!

Even for my old shunting layout that was 6x2.5 or there abouts I had all my track wired up A lot called me mad but I never had a issue with it cos every peace Had it’s own wire And it was all 2ndhad track and electo points definitely worth the extra effort

Totally agree with regard to the electrofrog points for reliability, no issues as yet. Thanks for watching

Hi there, DCC controller query here, so sadly, my good friend and layout building guru has just passed away before completion of the project and subsequent handover period of the project, leaving me a little up the creek, can I clairify, am i simply able to wire in the controlller (Dynamis) to any one of the scotch blocks where there is a red and black wire ... there are point motors and booster boxes wired in as well as lighting in the inspect pits .. please can you advise ...

Great update your wires look very tidy,can I ask with the hot weather does your track buckle?
@SolarRailway4 жыл бұрын
The track expands when it gets warm in the garage but I left gaps at the rail joins to allow the rails to expand

That’s a great way to do it will use that method in my future build

I'm just building my layout at the moment (If I can get enough track!) I'm going to keep all point operation on the accessory bus so that if the track bus trips out due to a frog short I can still correct the point from the controller, and resume driving, without having to manually move a loco off a frog on an inaccessible lower level.. I'm also putting in block detection and my own homemade Automagic brake control sections so sadly can't just bunch everything together! lots of wire...

Excellent to hear, able to do the same with operations of points separate from track power

Nice layout, what size wire for your bus and droppers on your layout.
@SolarRailway3 жыл бұрын
Bus wire is 32/0.2 and droppers 16/0.2 from rapid electronics

I used tag strips for mine. I found it easier than blocks
