Sorry ma I think that thrice One third means(1/3) 1:3 3/(1+3) = 3/4 Son = 3/4 Father Son = 3/4 * 48 = 36

Shortcut for this type of problem Father = (T+1)son Father = (1/3 + 1) son 48 = (4/3)*son Son = 36 T means Times Twice means T = 2 Thrice means T = 3 Half means T =1/2 One third means T = 1/3
