How to upgrade Digitrax Zephyr Express Firmware

This is amazingly coincidental timing. I picked up a DCS52 in February and just yesterday got around to swapping out the DCS51 on a secondary layout, which I like to keep free to use as a portable command station for train shows. And surprise, surprise, the DCS52 gave me all kinds of problems trying to select any 4 digit address. My Zephyr shows the same firmware version as your's did when you powered it up at 1:46. I thought I was going to have to contact Digitrax to start the exchange process, but I'll pick up a PR4 and try the firmware update first. Thanks for the ridiculously well-timed video walking me through the process!

You are welcome. DCS52 has USB port.

@DCCTRAIN Indeed it does. But I don't have any USB type B cables. I've wanted to get a PR3 for a while for my EVO Advanced DCS210 anyway, and it comes with the USB type B I'll need for updating the DCS52.

Thanks for the informative video. Is it necessary to update if the DCS52 has v0.7 but it’s dated December 2022?
