lol honestly didn't know much about the game when we played this. I do enjoy the series and hope to get back into it at some point. Maybe I'll look for the English version so it won't be as tough... I heard the game can be tough regardless of language barriers cause you go in it not really know how to find other cars. Pretty much have to buy every car in the game get every color of car etc... to unlock other competitors.

Just to clarify, despite this boss is obviously inspired by the Devil Z, it's using the RB26 from the R34 in the same game instead of the iconic L28 from the original.

@Red Rotary Michael I know nothing about the novel at all and had no clue that was the game was based off of WOW! I got the Japanese version of the game so its hard to understand some things however its completely playable. I just don't know how to beat this game I guess buy every vehicle in the game in every different color and go out and race god this could take hours. The video hear was captured while my cousin was playing and I gotta say he is a pretty good gamer.

So I guess that wasn't the last battle? I guess he already completed the game beforehand cause from what I see he fully completed the game. Guess I'll have to check back at the vmu save its been a little while.

I am super late but it can help someone, why not? :D Completing all Wanderers is not a requirement for the final boss, you may even skip them all! You just need to beat all team captains, section bosses and ultra bosses (the one who "defends" very big areas), after that the final boss (the car is Nissan S30 btw, will challenge you) (beat the final boss when I was a child, restarted the game and completed all wanderers just 2-3 years ago :D)

I found that the best car to race the Devil Z is actually a Porsche 911 + final motor.

lol i wouldn't doubt it we have no idea on how to play the game he just went in there with that. I don't even think we had fully completed the game. Not quite sure how easy it is do to it being the Japanese version.

@@DCeric lol well after the internet came around i figured out that you to have race all the wanderers in a curtain order all the while racing all the other racers too to be able to race Devil Z. Plus if you increase your vehicle’s driven miles over 1 mil??? Lol you’d unlock the last engine mod. Allowing you to exceed 1000 hp (depending on your car)

@@DCeric eversince I saw Zero and "???" In TKR1 as a kid being 4 years old at the time, I always thought how similar they look: big wheels in the back, circle headlights, fastback rear. Ironically, the Porsche is what my dad was using to face Unknown in TXR1. Less than a decade pass, I discover Wangan Midnight and found out the Blackbird and Devil Z.... are a thing and actually happened to be rivals. I kinda referred to it as the Initial D of Tokyo Xtreme Racer. Going into high school, I did more reasearch and the Shutoko battle games are based on Wangan Midnight while the Kaido Battle games are based on Initial D. Both videogames also spicing some parts of the opposite anime series.

@@SoheiJayce the funny thing is I don't know how the game plays out really. I remember addicted and just wanting to find other racers and collecting cash. Years back it was the English copy I owned and having the Japanese copy its easy to grind up in but some things being in Japanese make it a bit rough. I don't understand the grind too much. But I have basically all of the later editions of Tokyo Xtreme Racer. I looked at the history of the series and it would be great to have the other games but I know it'll be pricey depending on the systems in which some I do not own.
