/Dream Car Garage 1 (DCG1) well it helps when you used to own 2012 SRT Challenger, and they want to put you on the short list for the Hellcat...and my house is less than an hours drive away from the plant...it doesn't help matters lol :P

I've had it a month now and love it! Mines a 2.5 1986 Guards red but such a nice drive. Easy to work on too and I've been working through a snagging list since I got the car and trying to restore or replace components as needed. I've been surprised how reasonable Porsche main dealers are for parts and how much is still available

Long as you do all the front seals and belts at the same time and probably the clutch they are pretty robust, issue really is parts prices.

yeah..3500 pounds...in germany 2017 a 944 2.7 same condition would now be at 15.000 Euros or even more :)

honestly I just bought a 944 and I literally could not agree with you more. I drive my 944 to work 30-60 minutes every day. hasn't missed a beat and its the most fun I've ever had in a car. oh and I picked my mom up at the airport in it. cheers!

Nice Review: I think you gave the 944 a good honest review from a general point of view. I have an nice red '87 944... and its been a lot of fun and still get compliments. When you think what you can use and what the car offers, it is an OK car... not as fast in acceleration as i would like it to be, but it is more than enough sports car for Los Angeles driving and in the windy bits.

Just bought a 1984 944. First time I ever got someone complimenting my car at a stoplight. Not a crazy super car but a lot of fun and it definitely gets up to highway speeds quickly. Now I just need the little fancy bits to bolt on and make it pretty...

Great job mate! Honestly one of the most beautiful cars ever built, and for my taste one of the funnest to drive!. I live in America and in one year alone did 4 round trips to Seattle, from Los Angeles, that's 1200 miles each way. We are talking sun, ocean roads, twisties, mountains, rain, the whole gamete of driving experience. On my way back, my drive shaft bearing gave out, and got me all the way home 1200 miles. I have so many experiences in this car I could share, that I should write a book. I have driven many car's in my lifetime, and gone around race tracks in the Lexus LFA, which you can see me in if you type above Lexus LFA at the long Beach Grand Prix with driver Scott Pruitt. But quite honestly it is the 944, that sends shiver's down my spine, and takes me back to a simpler time, and place. The Professional driver I was with is Scott Pruitt. He has one in Indycar, and I believe 4 time's in the 24 hrs.of Rolex, 12 hr's of Seabring, and many other forms of racing. He told me it is the easiest Super Car he has ever driven at speed. I was beat up, and worn out after one lap. We weren't allowed to exceed 150 mph, down the straight, but we actually had it up to 180 mph, and Scott just fudged on the numbers, and real speed we were doing! LOL
