I was at World Championships. The reaction to Blue Devils getting 2nd was deafening and incredible (besides just hearing the tones from the top 5 corps) Then the BLOOO chants during the run and after they won was incredbile.

Love this! Bloo91 and Bloo22 Alumni Corps member here. Indianapolis that night in 2016 was awesome! So many of us alumni there that year. Just walking around downtown with an alumni shirt on meant instant rock star status. 😁... That alumni corp was probably the loudest group to ever hit the field. Could only imagine how powerful that sound was with 2-3 times the people. And I love that you did The Boxer hit from 2008. I knew there was a reason they play that every single year in their encores. I never gets old! Well done!

The captions were an average of the entire championships from prelims to Finals. So overall GE would pretty much take them to first. That huge gap in GE is why they won

I have a feeling that band kids in general are more excited when 2nd is announced than when 1st is. Or at least that’s the case when the band you want to win *didn’t* get announced for 2nd, so you know they got first. I’ve seen several example where this has been the case and it’s amazing.

The funny thing is the "2nd in everything" is basically how coats won. They did win the ge cap but the main thing that held them up was being consistent all across the board

2014: 3rd Place 2015: 4th Place 2016: 6th Place Yeah... 3 places down in 3 years isn't going downhill... Let's face it, The Cadets are an AMAZING corps and I absolutely love '11 and '15 shows, but! They simply aren't executing that well on the field, they placed 6th for a reason but not necessarily saying they can't place higher 2017

Raul Lopez It's hard to really say that cadets went down in '15. That year the top 5 were very equal. Placement wise yes the last couple years they have gone down, but this year they just had an unfortunate year.
