C. Layne Honestly we played better on the move. Don’t want to be a cop out but our design made it pretty hard for judges to get back most of the time lol we would only have a small portion of the show actually sampled

I like the sound of the snares and toms, not so much the bass drums. Seems like they are missing some attack.
@nick91king2 жыл бұрын
As a former 4th and 5th bass player I take offemse to that lol. In actuality though, you take away any component of a drumline and it's just not the same. You need your bassline just as much as snares or quads. And just think about playing 4's on one drum, then divide it by 5, then have 5 different people play it.... bass requires extreme timing, execution, and skill. It's easy to roll on a tight snare head, not so much on a floppy 5th bass drum with a felt mallet Just sayin...

Why do dci lines LOOK cooler than high school lines? Seriously what is it about them that makes them look cooler?
@dariusxxo6 жыл бұрын
caleb benton | dci lines stopped using shitty, bland, and boring uniforms in i think 2015. that’s probably why. also the fact that they’re older and much better
@JonBecker816 жыл бұрын
Darius Johnson they’re also a lot fitter and in better physical condition.
@SilverTheFlame5 жыл бұрын
caleb benton A lot of reasons... Physically, they’re in amazing shape. They’re super tan and their arm muscles are pretty toned. The fact that they use the exact same technique and play identically makes it looks more impressive. On top of that, if you ever march dci (or wgi) you learn about performance quality and how to “sell” what you’re playing through how you carry yourself (your body language, facial expression, etc.). This is further defined in the music, like when they all dip their drums at an impact moment or slide side to side during the brushes moment.
@matt4tuna2396 жыл бұрын
I've always wondered this do they get Paid? And are they high schoolers or 18+
@proro37576 жыл бұрын
Matt 4tuna no they don’t get paid, they are just doing it for fun. Most DCI bands are made up of college kids or older
@k_zildjian44606 жыл бұрын
Some of them might be high schoolers, but I doubt it. Still, the cut off age is 21 (unless something changed since I marched).
@tens86355 жыл бұрын
