Just started season 2 and besides confused, I felt devastated lol. I love the s1 team sm, I wanted to see them grow and develop. I wanted to see Robin become Nightwing and etc. It feels like they took my kids from me shdjdj 🥺 even tho it's exciting to see new characters, it's also like... A lot. The time gap shocked me, but it seems like an interesting move, indeed, so I'm gonna keep up

I just watched season 1 and fell in love with the show, until season 2 and I just couldn’t I’ve never been so hurt watching season 2. They ruined the show and I’m furious

Season 2 isn’t a bad season, I’ll even admit that it definitely ups the stakes and it is great to see characters aging and maturing. The problem is that so much story and character development had been completely skimmed over, so much of it could have made for 2 or 3 seasons of material before reaching this moment. I couldn’t watch this season back in 2014 because it was far too jarring and alienating for me to enjoy, let alone appreciate. Now I can appreciate this season for what it is but my distaste is still there to this day. I probably won’t watch this season again because of how off putting the time jump is, while season 1 still has me coming back to rewatch. Also, the time jump itself is very confusing when it comes to the villains’ master plan. Why did it take 5 years for the events of the season finale to come into play? Why would the villains wait that long? How come no one was able to figure out what the League did when a couple of your Leaguers are space-traveling beings? But the biggest is that I wanted to see the original team back in action, not this new team. And I’m not against having a new team, I just want to build up to new characters joining in and seeing the departure of old members. Kinda like how Legends of Tomorrow does with their characters, it makes the journey feel like the previous seasons matter. This makes season 1 feel like it was all for nothing.

I love the show but to me I kinda don’t like the massive time skips, like the last episode of season 1 established so much like the love lines of kid flash and Artemis, and robin and zatanna. I liked the whole dynamic of the team already and how there teens and are figuring out how to be real superhero’s and life in general, plus there was 8 members that all meshed well together. I enjoyed seeing them learn together and grow up as friends and a team. The whole time skip kinda threw it off and it’s not bad I liked season 2 but I would have liked to see the in between parts like how Artemis and kid flash decided to retire and show their love and see how robin and zatanna pair together and see how super boy and miss Martian drifted apart and like to see if aqua boy and rocket would have had a relationship or never even tried. And see robin branch out and become nightwing and see aqua boy leave and find out his father is black manta. The filler parts would have been nice to see. I like season 2 but I wanted more of the old gang together the founding members I guess that’s what made season 1 work soo well because each character worked so well with each other and their personalities and trials of being teens and part time superhero’s

I remember when I was younger watching this show used to watch it all the team only ever say season 1 season 2 came out when I was older and was more into anime, I just started watching it ago to show my two boys the shows I used to watch (4) and (1). With this being said we were all watching it together even got mama dukes to start talking about wanting to watch it with, so the boys are watching and dukes is at work I’m making dinner and I miss the last episode of season 1, didn’t think much of it didn’t even know it was the season finale paused it at the end. So today we go and start it and everyone’s is confused my oldest looking at me like I watched a bunch of episodes without him my baby crying cuz he liked young robin… I knew it was coming didn’t think it would happen right from season 1 to 2”didn’t even notice the whole new year thing” I know this video is 3 years old and it happen in young justice even longer ago. But i wanted to comment a different take maybe I’ll come back to this after I watch more of season 2 but I think the reason everyone grew up and left the team so to say, was more about what the network thought people love about young justice even tho yes it was only 1 season show didn’t have much of its own identity yet but beside the point, is the sidekicks findin themselves growing out of the shadow of there mentors. this is the important question i watched young justice on netflix. but what makes no sense is that like why would you change some of the characters without explanations? its like wally is gone all of a sudden megan has a new boy friend but whats the explanation the first season if u see when they came back from the s2 ep 1 mission you could see when megan and the fish thing idk was his name kissed super boy was pist? but what explains him breaking up with megan and you might as well notice some of the justice league heroes/members are diffrent and so is the young justice team. there is no artemis. no wally/kf and either way there is no aqualad etc. idk i just wanna see it keep going the same these new characters are not the kind of young justice from s 1.
