Getting back into DCS again after a bit of down time. Spotted players on SeaQuark's Korea server so jumped into the Sabre for some sloppy gun practice

Sloppy Sunday A long dance in the Sabre against a pair of MiGs. A lot of fun, but damn, took forever :) Hope everyone had a good New Years. Back to work tomorrow. Le sigh

Really shows how well the Mig can dogfight, it has great thrust and energy retention. Almost being able to beat out the Sabre in the fight.

Well they technically beat it, they hit it multiple times with 23mm cannons. When the more detailed DM comes in that would result in the plane going down or at least severly decreased dogfighting ability which would result in losing the fight later on.

OUTSTANDING dogfight. Tough as nails Sabre taking on the chin in as 2 wily tag-teaming weave their spirals over, under and all around him. Even though I was exhausted (just from WATCHING - lol) and frazzled, and lost hope at least a dozen times, you kept plugging away and won the day! Hands down my fave underdogfight! Kudos,

This was an incredible dogfight. One of the best I have ever watched honestly. You commentary on energy states and frame of mind are beautiful learning tools for us trying to understand energy disparities better. Really awesome video!

Nice fight. I love how you just kept going throughout the entire thing without giving up; despite having a terrible hand you actually managed to technically win in the end :) There was a couple of times were I might have just gone for the guy in front of me and damm it if the guy behind me would get me as a result :D

Eyes glued to the screen for the full 20 minutes there. Wow. Thanks for the great video, you've got good flying skill fending 2 MiGs off like that. Really enjoyable! This is true dogfighting, an engagement like this in modern jets would've been over in 2 minutes when one of either parties misses a sneaky Fox 2 or something like that.

Awesome flying. I am trying to learn modern fighters somewhat but I am continually discouraged by being blown up by I don't know what from I don't know where. The more I watch the videos of these older jet fighters, the more I become interested in giving them a go. Who knows, maybe during the next sale you'll see me in the skies :)

HR ....my FIRST DCS CHANNEL I EVER SUBSCRIBED TO 4 YRS AGO OR SO....this was and remains one of the most intense fights....I still think his best video ever was the DAVID VS GOLIATH HUEY VS HIND....I understand why he stopped posting...too much time, energy and effort when life has so many other things must do....even so, HR...WE MISS YOU BROTHER....and after all of those years posting novels and talking about how George always disrespected you (the schmuck).... I do hope whatever you're doing these days that your healthy, happy and at peace. God Bless you.... PS. I FINALLY PURCHASED A PC and a cheap set-up with HOTAS, Rudder Pedals, Head Tracking...it's only been a year and I still have not been able to set up any of my bindings....but want to thank you for taking sacraficing your time to share these clips/vids...you definitely inspired me to at least get involved...I purchased the F-86 because of you and many other modules...maybe by 2024 I'll actually be able to set-up what's needed so I can crash in your memory... 🙂 (If anyone is interested in helping an old man out...do have 30+ years as a GA pilot including jets...medium sized cabin such as the Lear 45 and Challenger 300 in addition to Cessna 172's, 182s, 210s and twin engine 310s as well... If the day comes when I can compensate someone to talk me through I'll ask people....Right now...Lie still is a massive challenge...I'm still engaged with fights such as this with my Government (the Feds) because I dared to take one too many stands against their corrupt and absuive practices that impact every American Citizen....one nobody destroyed billion(s) dollar health care act that was battled in the Supreme Court and I won...one of many battles...but they made certain my family and I would be destroyed for doing that and I'm still trying to get them off my six and one day will have a chance to re-arm so I can hold them accountable and I pray be able to recoup or force them to give back at least monetarily all they stole and destroyed...Just sux that no one in health care was willing to have my back or assist me...especially after they obliterated my family and me losing everything...even so, those same people were able to benefit and continue to this day benefiting and profiting while my life's work was destroyed and my life literally almost ceased...HR videos were always a nice break and a good laugh at times...So thanks HR and again, Wishing you and yours well. Those two Mig pilots were a treat to see fight. Would have had you if they were crack shots like Arianne Scharfi. Silver Mig was damn good in handling the aircraft with Camo not being too shabby either. You handled them well. A great start to 2020.

Wow what a great fight. I honestly gotta day that was probably one of my favorite videos. Great job especially in a 1v2 situation I’m looking into getting a Korean era plane was had some questions, are servers usually active with Korean War stuff? What plane would you recommend? Prod SeaQuark’s Korea! 1952 has seen a lot of action lately. We had 31 on the other night. I’d say grab either F-86 or MiG-15 and seek out players with the 39th or 14AD tags. They know dae way.

matt jones we have had a ton of new people on Korea 1952 lately. I attribute it to the winter sale and that we have a MiG squadron that seeds the server now. I actually have spent more time in the MiG than Sabre to help balance the teams out (Im a 39th Sabre guy). Its good seeing the player count being higher than in months past.

You need to learn how to use that radar gunsight. It's one of the biggest advantage the Sabre has over the MiG.

you spent too much time doing movie rolls and starwars moves. Thats what kept getting you almost killed. also "lul lets see if my heavier saber can recover from stall quicker than the lighter mig who has a better thrust to weight ratio". how are you suprised by that? seems like you need to work on vertical tracking as well. you look left and right but ONLY look up when you directly follow someone.
