I teach 1x/year with a guy who flew Chinooks for 15 yrs. 2 yrs ago when i told him i was considering transitioning to rotary, he abruptly asserted, “you can’t afford it. It’s 4x more than fixed wing.” So when you retire from Chinooks, DCS will scratch the itch…while keeping you out of the poor house trying to regularly fly real world rotary…

One of the best sounding hells for creeping up on you at first light,,We had 2 come in and surprise us on an exercise in Germany, many years back, Always prided myself in shouting out what was coming when hearing the different hells, but all I heard was a ripping noise, and they were low, ..on the ground in seconds .. beautiful……we lost that one lol.

yes it getting old this no real troops in the back thing if arma 3 an 11 year old game can sync real players in the back of hellos with old as netcode surly we can get a bunch of ai to sit still for a trip . we also need to just be able to hover over a vehicle that's within weight limits an net it an sling it to anywhere .any thing not just pre scripted in the editor then we can really be affective in a dynamic way .scripting is nice an we can build sam sites an so on but it should be a filler not just how it is. if we could actually carry a folded launcher or ammo truck would be soooo much better

It's rare to find something that's not problematic in some way. Falcon4 is great (if you love Vipers). Il2 is great for ww2 only (if you like questionable flight modelling and sub-par visuals). Msfs is fine if a to b is your thing and you don't want Rotary Wing which is awfully modelled (Prepare to buy new sim every few years). DCS has its problems also. Right now, for me and a majority - its the best near modern day combat sim. I've been at this gaming lark a long time so I've seen where we've come from to where we are. If you're that unsatisfied and feel your critique falls on deaf ears, maybe give it a break. Come back when you feel it's standards match your requirements. Haranguing people who love their hobby is counter productive. Best wishes.@Rokaize

It's up to Winwing but I'm sure it will. Meanwhile you can manually create a lua file.

​@@GamjaFieldits not. Its up to eagle dynamics to have the export lua working. They need to create/update it accordingly to have the lua know which parts of the heli to export. Thats purely on EDs part. RB didnt do it on the Streagle for example. I had to learn how to modify and tell the lua to export the mfds. As to where it exports them, Second screen, winwing mfd (which is just an usb screen) or whereever youd like is only setting it up for the first time, no additional setup required for new aircraft- if ed does their part that is.

What a beast. When I was a US Army photographer back in the 90s, I was on the ground next to an MP vehicle being picked by a Chinook. As it hovered overhead, the dirt from the prop wash literally sandblasted all the coating off my Nikon lens. Great times.

The amount of detail in this seems absolutely incredible!! Also props to the guy/team behind getting the scenes for this small trailer, they are amazing!! I was hoping for it to be a little cheaper not going to lie, but the quality seems top notch, so probably worth the buy (especially with the dynamic campaign). 👋 Just started buying some WinWing hardware to get into DCS. Not had the hardware til now, and find it difficult to get my head around all the keybinds (it's quite different to MSFS!) but REALLY looking forward to this, and the learning curve for something entirely different to give everyone on the channel!

I trained in the Army National Guard. to work on the Chinook rotor hub, 68D Aircraft Powertrain Repairer, the size of it compared to other helos in the army was astounding. The sad thing was that once at my unit, an avcrad, I never got to work on one again. I have always wanted to fly and did in college, but never did in the military as I dreamed, I put love and life in front of my dream. My wife now bought me vr, and I adore the huey, the Apache, I can not wait for the Kiowa and the Chinook. Thank you for bringing flight to my life again, even if it is simulated. Thank you.

Great trailer, awesome module 😎 But tbh, after the endless delay of Phantom, which I pre-ordered early in November 2023, I will never ever pre-order anything from DCS. But again, great module which I will take into account when it’s released. Cheers!

I know is annoying to wait for a new module, im feel frustrating too and after all it's not my business but if you looking for buying the chinook or any other's modules, wait for wait , im still thinking it's better to get it when is cheaper.

@@rudyvinck1447 wait for wait, my stance right now is to wait to it, or any other DCS product, to be in a mature state before committing to buy it. Also, in two years time it will be available in a sale, so I believe it is not the only time it will be in a lower price, heck, in a sale it may be even lower.

The most amazing thing is that most people don't realize DCS is working with budgets at a fraction of what sims like MSFS who have Hollywood budgets in the 100's of millions, like Hollywood films. Most third parties are doing this on the side, families and full time day jobs. We lovers of DCS have it good, and that's why I create content for DCS for free.
