Army Manual 37/241: "How to do artillery spotting from 10 feet of altitude" :D Just kidding, well done! I'm gonna share this on my FB page.

Haha I do everything at 10ft with green tracers at my face! Very well set up, you're pulling everything out the editor. The variation of tasks has been terrific

@@lankypilot778 Thanks :) BTW another good way to avoid ground fire is to fly higher, like at 1500-2000 feet. There you have plenty of room to maneuver.

Yeah I'm a terrible climber in any airframe! I think I came in touch too low initially after getting that height from London because I forgot set alt pressure, but after copping few tracers went straight to deck. You can hear me saying to myself got to get higher again but after seeing the arty rounds landing my attention got distracted by coolness and all proper thinking went out window as usual haha 🤦

@@lankypilot778 oh just wait until you start flying those underpowered, overloaded gunships ;)

Haha ever since first flight I've been scratching my head how will manage extra weight considering. Going to wait till jump in tho & not practice, everyone can watch me try adjust realtime

Thank u for the series. I'm playing the mission based on your videos and your logic, thinking process and decision making and I'm nailing it. Much appreciated

Thank you for watching glad it helped :) just don't base it on my last decision!

I've just had an idea regarding the artillery fire correction. To simulate avoiding the fire trajectory, they could set up a series of triggers such that, while in the zone (firing trajectory), ie. between the target and the artillery, after the artillery fires, there's a 50% nothing happens, a 30% chance an audio file of a round passing in the distance will play, a 19% chance an audio file of a round passing right by your helicopter will play, and a 1% chance an explosion will occur on your helicopter simulating that the artillery round impacted your aircraft. An even smarter option would be a series of zones where those probabilities change depending on how close you are to the centre zone.

Well done Lanky! The only problem with this campaign is that its got a end 😔. I crashed my slingload on the landing aswell 😃

I have a pro flight huey cyclic and collective and i have a button on the cyclic programmed for the communications. Is that going to work? In the video you do not show how you do it. Mine is VR i am not sure if you are IR Tracker.
@lankypilot7782 жыл бұрын
Oh neat setup! bit jealous haha. It shouldnt matter what peripherals you have as long as you have bound the "Pilot's radio trigger" in the huey control menu to a button. Think there are two, an ICS & radio pilot trigger. Pressing those should bring up comm menu on screen
@timberwolf5342 жыл бұрын
What do you use to make the F10 menu come up. I set up a button on the cyclic and it doesn't work.
@lankypilot7782 жыл бұрын
Just check you're binding the radio trigger in the menu & not the default communications '\' key. Altho I had trouble myself last night in the spitfire with same problem, so if that doesn't work might actually be a bug
